What is the general setup for the castle dinner? Have they not attended before but have attended the ceremony in the same year?

December 10th there is a prize ceremony then a dinner all in gala
December 11 there is a dinner at the castle again and also this gala, but I don't think Victoria, Carl Philip or Madeleine has attended this dinner any previous years
this will be victorias first time

As much as I know Victoria attended the dinner already in 1997, and then in 2000 and in 2001. I´m not sure about Carl-Philip, but I know, that he attended. I think in 2001.

About december 11. Maybe I will find pictures.
Oh, Yennie was faster...thank you, Yennie. :flower:
Now I´ve looked at the calender-archive of royalcourt.se and it says that Victoria and Carl-Philip attented both in 2000 and 2001

Princess Madeleine attended both ceremonies on December 10th 2000 and 2002 but never the dinners on the 11th, why is that?

okay. Two dinners. I was a little confused. But with some people attended some things and others attending other things. Okay.

Good question. I think they used the excuse "school" in 2000 and "practical training" (she did one at that time) in 2002.
But probably it was just laziness and disinterest. The "big show" is on december 10.

Oh how lovely!
I just love the Nobel Prize Festival, it's one of the nicest festival. It's all the educated and royal personage who's there, no competition or Hollywood kind of feeling, but just the nice smell of knowledge and royal!
Why wasn't Victoria there last year?

And I bet there will be a lot of details, which will be published before (the members of the RF, who will attend, the seating arrangements...)

Can anyone post the link of Josephine's Nobel Prize thread please.

Crown Princess Victoria was absent during the Nobel last year because she was working for a Swedish Export company in Paris.

I would say you can be 99.99% sure, that Madeleine has a new one. But I´m not sure about the Queen and Victoria. The Queen already wore dresses at the NPA, which she has worn before.

1 - 1997 I think she already wore this dress in Spain at one evening of the wedding-celebartions of Infanta Christina. At least she has worn it many times afterwards.
2 - 1998 It´s said the Queen has designed this dress, and I remember, that she wore it before the NPA 1998
3 - And I think she has worn the dress of 1999 before too

Doesn´t the dress of Christina Rau (wife of the german president and left in the picture) look a lot like the one, which Silvia wore at the NPA 2000.
That´s the confounded thing with evening gowns...soon you have used all design-ideas for them...and at a huge ball you can be sure, that there are always women with the same style.
