Countess Marianne Bernadotte visited Christinaskolan school on 15th October.
Marianne Bernadotte, aunt of the King, has visited the children at Christinaskolan School.
The purpose was to see Lexplore, which with AI technology, reads eye movements and can detect dyslexia.
- It was very fun for her to see in practice what her research has contributed to, says Sophie Ekman, a school chief physician who invited Marianne Bernadotte to the school.
Founded research center
Marianne Bernadotte has a strong commitment to dyslexia and eye research. In 1990, she and her husband Sigvard Bernadotte founded an eye research center at St.Eriks Eye Hospital, which, among other things, researched the connection between dyslexia and eye movements.
The Lexplore tool, which is used at Christinaskolan and at several Lidingö schools, is a practical extension of this research.
- It was fun for Marianne to see it in reality. In addition, she loves children very much. The preschool children were in line to get her autograph, Sophie Ekman says.
Marianne Bernadotte told the children about her own upbringing and her little brother who had severe dyslexia but could not get the same help that exists today.
95-year-old Marianne Bernadotte, aunt of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Countess of Wisborg, has also had a long acting career.

The "New Mobility" is currently on everyone's lips. But what do young people want when it comes to mobility and what does mobility actually mean to meet the needs of children and young people? The Ministry of Transport Baden-Württemberg and the Lennart-Bernadotte Foundation discussed mobility concepts of the future in the context of the 22nd Mainauer Mobility Talk on Monday (21 October) together with children and young people as well as experts.
Count Björn Bernadotte, Member of the Board of the Lennart-Bernadotte Foundation and host of the event, is also proud of the 22nd edition of the event. "We are pleased to be able to look back on such a long history of the Mainau mobility talks in cooperation with the various ministries. It is always exciting to see how the conference with its theme setting meets the zeitgeist. I was particularly curious about what suggestions the invited young people have on mobility."
