What more can we Finns add to the newspaper articles? I think that Crown Princess Victoria had the greatest success here in Finland.
I think that the Swedish royal family is doing marvellous job for the Swedish image. They are popular here in Finland too, though we Finns want to compete with the Swedes in sports and business.
I was at the Sanoma publishing house the 26th and saw a glimpse of the Crown Princess Victoria when she opened the photo exhibition. She looked great in her pale pink dress, which we've seen already at the wedding in Belgium (the papers actually wrote of this and added in a very positive way that 'she is not afraid to use her outfits several times'.
She looked very fit, slimmer and prettier (if that's possible) than in the pictures. And, boy, does she have a warm smile. The crown princess was guided by the different photographers of the exhibition and she seemed to have a lot of comments and discussion with the artists. She looked genuinly interested.
Not that much... I don't know was it already told on this board that the press tried to ask something of Daniel and Princess Victoria had smiled and said that she could have guessed that someone would bring that up.
They also asked when the engagement is announced and she had replied something like "I know of this just as much as you do". She is very enigmatic. Or clever enough not to talk of her private life.
I don't think that the blue dress is a new one. But I think that she has altered the back of it. I think that she wore it to some occasion in Denmark (Queen Margerete celebrated her 60:th birthday perhaps?). I remember it because the first day Madeleine wore a blue dress and Victoria a red one and the second day Victoria wore this dress and Madeleine a red one. Do you remeber this too? But I don't think that the back of the dress was so revealing then.
I found a link to a picture of Victoria in the dress. I'm pretty sure it's the same dress!

I don't know about it being altered, but Victoria definitely wore the same blue dress to Queen Margrethe's 60th birthday celebrations.

I definitely think it's the same dress. Maybe the lighting makes them look like they're different.

It must be the same dress! That was the first thing I thought when I saw the picture, before I saw your comments about it. I think that she had to alter it because of her now slimmed down body ( look at her bosom and compare it to the older picture! and then she/ the dressmaker decided to make the dress a bit more interesting with that back.
I really like the way she wears the Baden Fringe tiara but the necklace is too elaborated for her- it looks better on her mum, V. needs the strict, sober lines ( or is that just my personal taste?) :)

Sorry Josefine, I don´t think that it is the same dress. The dress you just posted is green, not blue. take a look at the orderband (don´t know the name for it...) it is green and the dress is in the same colour, and I think I have seen this dress in pictures before, but they are very simular. maybe they got the idea to change the back on the blue dress from this one.
