Swedish Royal Family, Picture Thread Part 1

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
No reports about a visit of hers at Yale. But in the annual tv programme 2002 she said that she went to Miami on her November/halloween holiday. So atleast she´s been there.
And I know the royal family has visit St Barths and other islands in that area so perhaps they stopped by the states aswell

A photo of the whole family, taken on April 30 1993

During the 80´s when the children were learning how to swim, the royal family rented a public bathhouse, GIH badet in Stockholm, to be able to be private. Victoria, Carl Philip and Madeleine and some friends went there almost every week with their parents, nannies and bodyguards.

"Aren´t you drowning? - I can´t hear you, I´ve got water in my ears" :)

King Carl Gustaf and Crown princess Victoria went to Grafikens hus (House of the graphic art) a couple of years ago and learnt how to make... ehm, cant remember what its called but look at the photos and you´ll get it :)

At the end of the Victoria made a picture out of an old photograph of her and Carl Philip but changed it a bit *lol*

Photos taken in the apartment at Drottningholm, sometime in 1988. The Queen has just picked up Victoria from school and is now having cookies and lemonade with her children.

from ARD

It was a little funny, Silvia and Victoria sat down on the sofa, then Carl Philip tried to squeeze in between them. He managed to do so, but there was still plenty of room on the left, but Madeleine didn´t sat down there,m but instead she chose the other sofa and sat there by herself. Silvia just smiled :)

Wonderful postcards, Townsend! Does this mean the Swedish children have been your second interest besides Charlotte? :)

I'd like to start adding some pics as well, as there are so many nice ones in this thread:

hi
were the princesses always dressed alike on offical occasions? on some pics even carl philip wore the same kinda outfit. it is a bit cheesy...
was it the same in other royal houses?
thanks

Oh I see, Townsend, but nevertheless it was nice we met here too :)

Kathi, I'm not sure if they've always been dressed alike till a certain age, but it seems that it happened quite often. As to your question about other royal houses, the Duchess of York or Princess Caroline of Monaco did it quite often with their kids and Princess Cristina of Spain does it sometimes with her boys. It looks sweet and I'm quite sure that it is no problem for kids and it does not influence their inviduality.
Here are some pics - not all with same dresses ;)

This is an incredible picture!

This picture is about sixty years old now and it belongs to the celebration of our king's 60th birthday. It shows four generations of the Bernadotte family, the royal family of Sweden. The old man sitting down holdning the baby is great grandfather king Gustav V (born 1858, dead 1950). The somewhat younger man standing behind him is grandfather crown prince Gustav Adolf (born 1882, dead 1973). He would later become king as Gustav VI Adolf. Furthest to the left is the baby's father, prince Gustav Adolf (born 1906, dead 1947). He was supposed to inherit the thrown after his father Gustav VI Adolf, but he died in a airplane crash three years before even his grandfather died. And the newborn baby boy himself is the little prince Carl Gustaf, who's now king Carl XVI Gustaf. He became our crown prince as a four-year-old, but luckily, his grandfather Gustav VI Adolf had inherited genes for a long life from his father, so Carl Gustaf was twentyseven years old before his grandfather died as a 91-year-old and he had to become a king.

Yennie, thanks for posting the nice family-picture. It is taken by Nobel Dinner at 11th December 2005 at Stockholm castle. It is nice to see a official picture of the hole family.
