King Carl Gustaf, queen Silvia, Victoria, Daniel and Carl Philip had yesterday a video meeting with the county governors in Sweden. This was the fourth meeting with the county governors after the pandemic started.
This was a follow-up to the meetings that took place between the King and Queen, the Crown Princess Couple all the governors in 2020.
The Governor of Västmanland County, Minoo Akhtarzand, gave a general overview of the situation in the counties during the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. Each governor reported on the situation in their counties. They reported that since the most recent meeting in December 2020, the spread of infection has increased dramatically throughout the country and the mutated virus variants are spreading in all counties. Vaccination work in the regions is progressing well.

"For the fourth time during the pandemic, the governors are providing information to the royal family. From Uppsala, I mentioned the high burden on healthcare, information initiatives before the end of April and a business community that is developing positively where export value increased last year."
Today king Carl Gustaf, queen Silvia, Victoria and Daniel had a video meeting with The SOM Institute. The SOM Institute is an independent research organization at the University of Gothenburg. Since 1986 the SOM Institute has conducted surveys regarding public opinion in Sweden.
