State Visit from Turkey to Sweden: March 11-13, 2013

I would guess that Madeleine is still in Sweden, but as the guest list and protocol for state visits are set well in advance the royal court doesn't want to make changes in the last minute. I don't see a reason for Madeleine to make two transatlantic flights in less than five days if it's not necessary.

i think that madeleine did go back to new york and will return on friday
she posted this http://www.facebook.com/PrincessMadeleineOfSweden?fref=ts
on her facebook page today at 1 in the morning european time which is about 9pm in york i dont think she'd be on facebook at 1 am

Is that supposed to be a real facebook page for a Swedish princess?

I read that it was said at the swedish radio, that the president had wanted that the flags, also the turkish ones, were at half-mast when they arrived to the Royal Palace, as of respect towards princess Lilian and the royal family. It was planned that the flags would have put up before the arrival ceremony started.

From the president's website, a story about the whole visit.

Madeleine is in Sweden at the moment, and Chris O'Neill arrived yesterday, they had dinner in Stockholm in the evening, it's mentioned in this article: Prinsessan Lilians hus kan bli Madeleines | Nyheter | Expressen | Senaste nytt - Nyheter Sport Nöje TV

I particularly noted the picture Image Upper.com - Free Image Hosting - View Image, where Victoria seems a bit sceptical about what the Turkish President says, Daniel keeps smiling.
Some macho attitude or words could be expected from him, in my view.
I remember at the time of his election there were discussions at to whether he is a moderate or hard muslim.
There must be a highly political agenda behind these visits; they also went to the Netherlands, and Denmark (?) I think. Admission into the EU, I guess...

That man isn't the president of Turkey, it is the Minister for Education Jan Björklund. He has a scarf, the president hasn't. Minister Björklund attend at the farewell ceremony. Minister Björklund is on the right in this photo.

One more photo of Victoria and Daniel at the airport, with the minister for Foreign Affairs, Carl Bildt.
