State Visit from India to Sweden: May 31-June 2, 2015
The court has just announced that the President of India will Pay a state visit to Sweden (as kingen previously stated). It will start on May 31st and end on June 2nd

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee, will pay a State Visit to Sweden from 31 May to 2 June 2015 at the invitation of King Carl XVI Gustaf.
President Mukherjee's delegation will include political representatives and representatives of the Indian business sector for talks and meetings with Swedish ministers, parliamentarians and business representatives.
The aim of the State Visit is to strengthen Sweden's long-term political, economic and cultural ties with India. The main themes of the visit are innovations and sustainable development, with a focus on urban development, and science and research, with a focus on life science.
This will be the first State Visit to Sweden by an Indian Head of State. Their Majesties The King and Queen made a State Visit to India in 1993, which was the first Swedish State Visit to the country.
To editorial offices
Media representatives need special accreditation from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs to cover the State Visit. The last day to apply for accreditation is Thursday 21 May.''

About the program at the website of the government of Sweden:
Sunday, May 31
President Mukherjee arrives to Sweden on Sunday afternoon. He will be greeted at the Arlanda airport by the crown princess couple.
The royal couple will meet the president at the Royal Stables for the procession to the Royal Palace where a solemn welcome ceremony takes place.
Monday, June 1
Monday's program begins with a visit to the Parliament and meeting with Speaker Urban Ahlin. Subsequently, Prime Minister Stefan Löfven receives the president in Rosenbad. The City of Stockholm will host a lunch in the City Hall, in which will be discussed about sustainable urban development. The afternoon program will continue on the same theme.
In the evening the king and queen host a banquet at the Royal Palace.
Tuesday, June 2
Tuesday at the program is the research and science, including a visit to the Karolinska Institute. Followed by seminars and meetings with Swedish and Indian business community. In the afternoon, the program continues in Uppsala with a visit to the University.
The visit ends on Tuesday evening.

The royal court updated the calendar on Monday and according to that those taking part to the state visit are
Sunday 31st May and Monday 1st June

Things have changed at the royal family. The king has decided that Sofia takes part to these events and that's it.
The President visits Uppsala University on Tuesday 2nd June. He will give a public lecture at 17.00 on - ‘Tagore and Gandhi: Do they have Contemporary Relevance for Global Peace?’ He is accompanied by crown princess Victoria and prince Daniel.

I think it was a mistake to not let Daniel take part in official events before their marriage. Maybe they learned and moved on? The wedding is just two weeks after the state visit. Sofia can learn a lot from it, so why not let her do it? It's not like they will be the hosts or something like that.

Iirc Daniel did not take part in many functions because he had to take special care of his health. It was shortly after the transpantation and his immune system was down. At least that was the reason they gave when Daniel didn't attend the Nobels.

Nina Eldh told in connection of king Carl Gustaf's birthday in 30th April 2009 that
- It has been made clear from day one that Daniel Westling will not participate in any official context until the wedding.
So when the king celebrated his 63 birthday Daniel Westling was not at the castle.
- It was never planned that he would be with, says Nina Eldh.
- It will be delayed until after the wedding before Daniel Westling attends at the Crown Princess's work. But there may be exemptions from the decision. As at festive occasions.

State Visits are usually attended by senior members of the royal family. Prince Carl Philip is a senior royal and Sofia will be a senior royal in a few weeks time.

It seems like the Queen didn't travel in the cortège as stated before. She might have been gone by car to the Royal Palace instead, but it must be very rare that the Queen doesn't take part in the cortège during a state visit.

As the wife of the President of India is apparently not following him, there was no need for a 2:nd carriage.
The Queen, Victoria and Daniel probably followed in the car immediately behind.

You're most probably right, I think so too. It's however funny that the Court writes on their website that she took part in the horse-drawn cortege, when she didn't.
