Lovely visit so far.
Sofia looked good. Victoria as usual looks great

I'm guessing there will be Live video coverage?

I'm sitting at Strömkajen Harbour outside Grand Hotel in Stockholm and The King, The President and lots of other people disembarked a steam ship some minutes ago so they appear to have been at a Cruise in the archipelago. The president appears to stay at Hotel Lydmar as there is a huge police escort outside waiting for him. The King left in a car for the royal palace a few minutes ago.

There is usually a video afterwards but no live streaming

The president was dressed to a chilly day in Stockholm when he went to the ship.

I wonder how the Indian guests reacted to the King's reference to his grandfather, King Gustav VI Adolf, marrying Louise Mountbatten, the sister of the last British Viceroy of India. On one hand, as the King said, Lord Mountbatten played an important role in laying out India's path to independence. On the other hand, however, references to the last Viceroy might evoke memories of colonial rule which some Indians may consider offensive. I understand the King wanted to make a link between his family and India, but I'm not quite sure it was appropriate.

It seems that the engaged couple was seated next to each other again, like at the Nobels. I suppose one can consider it part of 'training' though in general the RF's presence at such official events is as host and thus the point is that they mingle with the guests. Seating them next to each other defies that logic. I suppose it is an old fashioned tradition to seat engaged people next to each other at dinner parties, so that can be considered sweet.

All ladies looked wonderful. I am glad that the queen and the crown princess didn't dress 'down' jewelry wise, but used some of their best pieces. A pity that the CPss didn't use the gorgeous emerald necklace again with this dress though.

Some cars at the cortege have got to a crash. Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel were in the motorcade - but did not sit in one of the four cars collided. However the director of the court press department, Margareta Thorgren sat in one of the cars that were damaged.
- There came metal damage to the cars, but no one was injured. The program continues. I'm feeling well, she says.
