The Haga Princesses always have a place in the hearts of the Swedish people - and there are many who send greetings to Princess Christina and wonder how she is doing. So we gave the question to the court: How is the king's youngest sister?
- The latest is that she is recovered and that she is feeling well, says Margareta Thorgren, director of the press department, to Svensk Damtidning.

Princess Christina is part of the royal family - but the Royal House. Nevertheless, she is the Haga Princess who works most frequently in the king's service.
One question remained unanswered during the press conference about the changes in the Royal House. The one about Princess Christina.
Christina is the Haga Princess who has worked the most in the King's service. She and husband Tord Magnuson live on Slottsbacken and have an incredibly close relationship with the King and Queen. Christina has also jumped in when there were gaps in the royal representation and thus helped Queen Silvia with an otherwise very heavy workload.
We asked Margareta Thorgren what Princess Christina's role will look like in the future.
- Princess Christina will receive her own invitations and she will continue to support the royal couple in programs that the king considers important. The entire royal family will support the Head of State to the extent necessary and Princess Christina has done a great deal and will continue to do so.

When princess Christina celebrated her 75th birthday in August 2018, she said she would retire and has left many of her positions, for instance as Chairman of the Board of Ulriksdal Palace Theatre Confidencen Foundation. She hasn't also delivered anymore many of the prizes she used to deliver.

Princess Christina is writing a book about her grandmother, crown princess Margareta. The book will be published in April 2020.
Hon kallades Daisy (She was called Daisy)
Princess Christina never got to know her grandmother. Crown Princess Margareta, Gustaf VI Adolf's first wife died just 38 years old exactly 100 years ago, pregnant with her sixth child. Not only did she leave the family in paralyzing grief - she was mourned by a whole people. How come? And why was it so quiet after her?
Princess Christina has searched the private family archives for answers. She has gone through letters, photo albums and documents and traveled to her cousin Queen Margrethe in Denmark to find out more. In "Hon kallades Daisy", she gives life and color to an open and versatile talented English princess who fell in love with a Swedish prince in Cairo, was called the ray of sunshine at Stockholm Palaces, and tones as the first modern royal in Sweden.
Through her search, Princess Christina finally gets to know her grandmother Daisy. In the book she writes about her foresight and warm interest and commitment to people, even far outside her own circle, and she talks about her artistic talent and great interest in gardening. But she has also received an in-depth picture of her grandfather, Gustaf VI Adolf, when she meets him as a young man in love and later as fresh in the role of crown prince. In a conversation with her cousins Queen Margrethe and Princess Benedikte of Denmark, which is one of the chapters in the richly illustrated book, the images clarify even more.
The book is written in collaboration with Carl Otto Werkelid, who has been working as a journalist and cultural writer since the 1970s and for many years worked at Svenska Dagbladet, including as cultural director. He has also been a cultural adviser to the Swedish Embassy in London.

Princess Christina wrote also her first book Dagar på Drottningholm/Days at Drottningholm with Carl Otto Werkelid.

Svensk Damtidning asked Margareta Thorgren about princess Christina's new book.
- Princess Christina is pleased that the book is coming out in the spring. She has been very involved and this is a project that has grown over several years, says Margareta Thorgren.
The book is called Hon kallades Daisy and the princess has gone through private family archives, documents and photo albums to find out who her grandmother really was. In addition, she has traveled to the cousin, Queen Margrethe, to get a clearer picture of their common relative, Crown Princess Margareta.
Why did the princess choose to write this book?
- Basically, it's about the princess having a very strong cultural-historical interest. Crown Princess Margareta was an amazing woman with many different interests that Princess Christina wanted to portray.
Where did she find information about her grandmother?
- At the Bernadotte Library, at the Royal Palace.
What did Queen Margrethe's imput mean during the work?
- Getting to know the queen's knowledge of their common relative meant a lot.

It was lovely that little Désirée attended the service too. She reminds me a lot of Princess Estelle.
