we started to celebrate Sveriges nationaldag (the swedish national day) in 1983. Before that it was just "Svenska flaggans dag" (the day of the swedish flag)
I think it was in 1983 that Victoria was with her parents for the first time...

A video from Nationaldagen 1983. I believe this is the first time Victoria attended. But she's not wearing the traditional blue and yellow dress, something else. My Swedish isn't grand, so I listened and at the end, I think in closing said the family is going to Solliden.

It is said in the end that the Royal family is leaving Solliden. It is a bit confusing, but the place where the National Day celebrations take place annually in Stockholm is called Solliden as well. Solliden is located at Skansen.
