According to Margareta Thorgren (the director of the press department) Princess Leonore will not make any public appearance before the baptism on Sunday.

What did Princess Madeleine say?

It was such a nice surprise to see Princess Leonore at the arms of her mother. And Christopher! Aww. He seems to be over the moon with his two girls.

I had a feeling that Leonore would be there, too. And I was right. Even though she slept through her first official event she looked so cute in her little national dress. And her parents look happy and proud of their little girl. What a nice little family.

But where is the ... how is it called? ... the hat-thing of the national dress that married women wear? Madeleine is married this year. Or do they just wear this hat-thing in the evening at the concert? I'm a bit confused right now.

When a woman is married, she should use the headwear. And Madeleine always wears wrong shoes with the national costume. The queen and Victoria wear the right shoes.

If I am remembering correctly, when opening the palace- they don't always wear full costume. Didn't Victoria wear a white dress with a swedish flag necklace? So Madeleine still has time to put the hat on. And didn't Victoria not wear the hat until her second year married? That I could be totally remembering wrong.

Yes your are right Madeleine is the only one who wears traditional costumes for Opening the royal palace

Stockholm was alight with flags, balloons and confetti today, as millions celebrated the National Day of Sweden.

And the country’s Royal family were no exception: Princess Madeline, her husband Christopher O’Neill and their three-month-old daughter Princess Leonore all joined in the festivities from the Royal Palace.

Princess Madeleine, 31, waved and beamed for photographs, holding the baby princess with Christopher’s arm affectionately placed over her shoulder.

Awww!! Look at that little Sweetling snoozin away in Mum's arms. They look so happy and proud to be showing Leonore off to everyone. I also love that picture of Victoria w/her arms flung open wide at the Citizenship Ceremonies. Like she's matching her words w/her actions to welcome all the new Citizens to their new Country.

And how cute was Estelle in the carriage w/Mum and Dad trying best to wave to everyone?

Sigh...I can't wait till Sunday and Leonore's Christening!!!
