About TV4's annual program of the royal family "Kungahuset 2020"

Rania Shemoun Olsson has followed the royal family during this special year. Rania says that it's been a year of contrasts with constantly changing plans and new assignments. It is great to see how the royal family's community involvement shines through in everything they do and what enormous respect they have for the people they meet.
The year began just as usual. In January, Victoria visited Auschwitz to attend a memorial service for Holocaust victims. The king and queen visited the Jokkmokk market. When the pandemic struck, the royal family's work changed, they have focused on supporting and contributing to the efforts made to combat covid-19.
Rania accompanies the Crown Princess couple on their visit around Sweden in the wake of the pandemic. She visits Sofia at Sophiahemmet where Sofia helps out two days a week and joins a battleship trip with Carl Philip.
At a longer interview with the king and queen at Drottningholm Palace they tell about this special year, where they spent several months isolated at Stenhammar Castle. Rania says that it has been a huge change for the royal couple to go from a packed schedule to almost no events. Instead, there have been many digital meetings, a digital UN conference, a lot of TV watching and the king has offered fantastic cooking according to Queen Silvia.
Kungahuset 2020 will be broadcast on 25 December at 20.00 on TV4.
