This event looks interesting, especially with the royals involved. Victoria, Daniel, Frederick and Mary are close, with the Danish couple godparents to the Swedish couple's children. The heirs apparent will do events together as well as the future consorts, and then the switch off.
Question about protocol: the Danes seem to be sticklers for protocol and recognition of rank. The King and Queen are hosting the lunch the next day. Frederick and Mary would bow and curtsy to CG and Silvia. Would CP and Sofia bow and curtsy to Frederick and Mary because the visiting royals are a future regent couple and Sweden's Prince Couple are not?

This is the first time M&F and V&D run the show on their own to such a large extent and with so many items on the agenda. - It is basically a dress rehearsal for how they will do things, once both couples become regent couples. - So look out for some of the details.
It is an advantage that both couples are personal friends and as such get along very well on the job, that means this drill is both on friendly ground for both couples but also relaxed in the sense that if there is a gaffe it will only lead to mutual laughter, rather than embarrassment. They are sparring-partners if you will.
I also believe both couples have had almost full control of the various items on the agenda. I.e. they basically planned the whole thing themselves.
And finally it's no secret that the Nordic countries use each other when they "break in" new royals on the job. Because they are all personal friends and any mistakes won't lead to exchanges of diplomatic notes.
And talking about protocol.
Madame Verseau, the resident Swedes will probably be better to answer questions regarding the Swedish protocol.
Notice that none of the gentlemen boarding Dannebrog wore uniforms. Had they worn a uniform they would first have saluted towards the stern of the ship, towards the flag, then the officers receiving them, when they reach the top of the phalarope.
Had V&D come aboard as official guests, Victoria would have been expected to inspect the honor guard as the highest ranking Swedish representative of the SRF.

First time how? This is a Danish business promotion with 60+ companies and two ministers. M&F have done many of these, with as many items on the agenda as this one. They are used to "running the show" on their own. Victoria and Daniel I can't comment on.

As far as I can remember, I've never seen the swedish/danish younger royals greet each other with anything else than handshakes/kiss on the cheek. I honestly don't think they care that much about rank among themselves.

The BB report referred to both couples together.
IMO this is a dress rehearsal for a state-visit to Sweden by the younger generation. As far as possible without of course leaving out the Swedish Regent Couple. That's why the details will be interesting.

The galleries are being updated. Victoria had even time to go to Dannebrog, before they came to the dinner, although the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award ceremony ended after 19.00.

Usually when I meet someone from Denmark, I speak swedish and they speak danish. The languages are so similar that we understand each other.
