They sure could have taken a special picture for this as they did twice in the past, what a pity. But it is, nevertheless, much better than last year's card.

the one with the princes & infanta leonor is taken the same day when she left the hospital. it's probably just one angle of the photo shoot. probably just another couch in the same room. it looks more comfortable, though.
i wish the princes' new year card would be better than this. i can only hope..

I do not believe that the Princes have more postal, this one is the letter of congratulation of Christmas and New Year. It will be necessary to wait to Leonor's baptism to see her again, unless the Princes extract her to walking a bit in Lanzarote.
I believe that the Kings wanted a photo with all their grandsons, but how the Infanta Cristina lives in Barcelona and the children have not travelled to Madrid in the last month could not have done it. These cards are those that they send therefore at the beginning of December already they would have to be prepared.
It would be very nice that a photo was done all together in Christmas, but I do not believe.

And, in the end, I was right. They chose among the unseen pictures they took on the day Leonor and Letizia left the clinic:o

It is normal, they are not going to be every day posing for photos. Besides, I imagine that if they have to make and send the cards the photographies they have to be done in November, in order that later they sign them and send them in December. So the girl would not have changed very much. Let's expect to see some photo in Lanzarote.

yes, lula, i also hope we'll get to see some pictures of them in Lanzarote, but if they decide to keep it "very" private holiday, then.. what can we do?

To wait to the baptism, I believe that we cannot do another thing.
I do not believe that they go out much of the Mareta, it is a wonderful place to rest. The only thing that is taken pity on of the photographers and pose awhile, but they are private vacations. This week they had been going to ski last two years abroad, but this year with leonor so small and Letizia without being able to ski they have chosen for the Mareta, which besides is remodelled newly, since the Prime minister spent there his summer vacations. A place with a good climate and a wonderful landscape.

woah..I'm a bit unsure about this card! I don't think the quality is very good. Little Irene looks like she has just been stuck there wthout anyone thinking what it would look like.

i'm a bit disappointed about that card, of course all children look very sweet, but montages remind me of cheap yellow press that does things like that...

It must have been done with the best intentions possible, but the truth is that the postcard looks... weird.
Hola has also the Postcard fromk Dukes of Lugo and I:o ... wish I knew what to say:( ...
Once again, the Princes of Asturias look elegant and natural in their postcard:) .
Regards,
mtbcm :)

I was preparing to, Elsa.
The Princes pic was already posted by Isabella in the previous page of this thread.
In my opinion it is a too intimate pic to send friends for Christmas, but that's just my opinion
I understand they wanted to share a happy moment with everyone. But for Christmas?! I am not sure it was a good choice.
Regards,
mtbcm :)

The picture is horrible. The kids look awful (sorry, but it is the truth). The King's tie does not match anything else. I could have taken a better picture. Sorry but I am quite disappointed.

Casa Real website has full sized photos of all the cards including the Dukes Of Palma. (Which by the way is my favourite)
