Casa Real has changed the official pictures of the Dukes (of Lugo & of Palma) and has published official pictures of Elena and Cristina. And, thank God, they have changed the official family picture. They had chosen one where everybody looked terrified and now they've changed it for one more suitable. Let's just hope that Felipe and Letizia follow suit soon!;)

See them at their original size at this link: http://www.casareal.es/casareal/fotofc.html they are too large for attachments, so I attached only the thumbnails.

I love the new pictures. I especially think that Cristina is aging well. (not that she's old but the 30's agree with her.)

Now, this is fun! It really seams the people in charge of the Royal website read this forum after all :D
Remember we had joked with that first picture they put a couple of weeks ago?... Perhaps we should demand for new official photos of the Princes, more decent Christmas cards... oh, and a new general look would be nice too.

(Now, let's see if they change it... :p )

MADRID, SPAIN: Spain's King, Queen and Princess Elena votesin the referendum on the EU constitution in El Pardo, near Madrid, 19 February 2005. Amid fears of an embarrassingly low turnout Spaniards began voting Sunday in a referendum on the proposed EU constitution which most of the 35-million electorate profess to back. Spain is the first of 10 EU member states holding a popular vote on the text which is designed to streamline decision-making in the 25-member bloc which last year took in 10 new, mainly Eastern European, members.

I thought royals didn't vote? What is special or different about these circumstances that the Spanish royals have come out to vote?

Although, there is nothing legally prohibiting the Spanish Royals to vote, they usually don't for legislative, municipal or autonomic elections, to reinforce an image of impartiality, as the Monarchy is above any political options. However, this act had a different nature, as it is a referendum about the European Constitution, not an election.

Interesting ;) I was also wondering about the voting.

Article and video about the Royal Family voting. Most of the video is about the King and Queen but there is a little bit of F+L at the very end.

Thanks for the link mazerdote. but i can not see the video yet.And from what i read on the article is only the queen and the king voting. The video from antena3 you can see the whole family.including elena, cristina and the princess off asturias.

Two more pictures of their majesties from yesterday. King Juan Carlos looks like such a ladies man in the first picture ;)

The King an Queen have voted 4 times. The referendum for democracy a couple years after Franco's death, for the Constitution, for Spain's entry into NATO and now for the EU Constitution (this was a non-binding referendum). This is ony the second time the Prince and the Infanta's have voted.

The last photo is nice, smiling at each other, they look a little like felipe and letizia when they do that...

March 9, 2005: Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia along with King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia welcomed UN Secretary General Kofi Annan to the Zarzuela Palace for a private dinner. Annan is in Madrid for the keynote speech to the International Conference on Democracy and Terrorism. He stressed the need for global cooperation to combat terrorism within a strictly legal framework.

Letizia looks really tall in these pictures or is that just me?

Juan Carlos always looks proud when she's around. Nice to see:)

It's not difficult to look shorter than what you really are, when you're next to a giant like Felipe... :D

No, I mean she looks tall (big),compared to other photo's I've seen of her. Maybe it's the shoes or the suit, or both I don't know.;)

Indeed very nice to see something like this Mascha, especially when some gossip mongers said, at the time of the wedding, that, during the balcony scene, JC avoided to stand near Letizia. Bah to them all!;)
