Before to be a beautifull baby boy, a charming little boy, an estupendous teen ager, a loving young man Felipe is reaching to the handsome forty or so years, but all this terms concern his appearence. About his true intrinsic personality, in fact, nobody knew actually anything. His grey hair temples which are a repeat of his grey/blue eyes are giving to him a fascinating look of a mature man. It's very strange but it's obvious that his wedding is given to him very quickly an other way to be . It's like his personality was waiting the signal to show his true personality. The responsability given by his family nucleus, the fact that he is married with a very clever and I suppose intelectually exacting woman, the rise of his official activities are giving to him an important change in his behaviour. From a quiet dilletante young man as he was discribed by the yellow press, for instance, we can see now a man more accomplished than every body could thinked about him.
I think, in fact, it's a surprise for most of people in the political, economical and social circles. From his reputation of nightclubber to his behaviour of today there is a gap that nobody was beleiving it was existed the basis. I don't said that the Prince of Asturias is a Phenix who is waked up soudenly, I said that he is given the results of his personal evolution that I find very positive!

Not only the Prince has changed, also it has changed the perspective with the one that was reporting about him.
The Prince has an official activity for many years, is true that in the last years this activity is increasing and acquires more responsibilities, but also it is true that activities that he realizes now realizes for more than 10 years.
What was happening before, is that to a great sector of the press, in which was interested and it was giving money, it was to speak about the personal life of the Prince and to speculate on it ... a wife was necessary to look for him. Because of it to the press was not interested in a trip to latinamérica, but yes in an exit to the discotheque with a group of friends.
Now the circumstances have changed. The passage of time has led him to having more responsibility. He has married for love and they have two beautiful girls. From the moment that announced his wedding, took a pressure that for years has overwhelmed him (though other pressures have appeared). There have been changes in his life that happiness and stability have contributed, and it transmits it, in such a way that before he was not transmitting.
On the other hand, some companies that some of them were considering to be frivolous have been remaining a bit of side. The own circumstances of the life, they do that the Prince already does not relate so much to his friends 40-year-old rich and single, and yes he does it with friends of always, but that already are couple with children who contribute a stabler and less frivolous image.

FEDERACION ESPAñOLA DE BALONCESTO
The Prince Felipe, in name of the Royal House, transmitted his support to the Selection
The exploits of the Feminine Spanish Selection in Europa's Championship of Italy are not passing unnoticed in Spain. Good proof of it was the telephonic call of His Royal Highness the Prince Felipe to Jose Luis Sáez, president of the Spanish Federation of Basketball, to transmit in name of all the Spanish Royal Household the support and the spirit of the Royal Family to the Spanish team before the dispute of the final of the European against Russia.

I think the Prince works pretty hard these last times. He knows what the word "duty" meant, no doubt!

Many thanks Lula and paty for the Felipe's pics. No comment about how an handsome man can be more handsome with an uniform! It's a commonplace but at each time that we can see the Prince of Asturias in uniform, mainly these of the Navy, I'm sure that a lot of hearts are beating strongly!....

Adelaide, I agree with you, men look more handsome in uniform than in civilian clothes especially Prince Felipe and Prince Frederik.

Thanks lula!, I've never read the words that King Juan Carlos told to Felipe when he received his title. Very touching words.
