Prince: Without volunteers a just society would be more difficult
Madrid, 2 dic (EFE) .-The Prince of Asturias said today, in the commemoration of 25 anniversary of YMCA-Spain, which without the spirit of sacrifice and of it delivers the others of the volunteers " would be much more difficult to construct a modern and more just society ". Don Felipe, president of honor of this ONG, presided at the celebration of the anniversary, which was celebrated in the Palace of Exhibitions and Congresses of Madrid, with the assistance of more than thousand persons, in the main voluntary Spanish and some representatives of other countries.
The Prince assured to feel " specially joined those who dedicate their time and effort to covering the lacks of the unprotected persons " and that exercise their labor in organizations " whose aim is the search of the social justice, the peace and the common good ".
In his words, Don Felipe remembered that YMCA is a pioneering institution in the voluntariado and one of the modals in the associative Spanish movement, which has demonstrated the solidarity and spirit of work in team.

The YMCA is an ecumenical organization that shares a christian and humanist ideal, whose main mission is to promote the full development of the individual, especially during childhood and youth, by means of promoting activities that can foment universal values.
The Prince of Asturias, who has been the honour president of this Spanish organization for sixteen years, emphasized the "solidarity and the team work" through which the YMCA Spain fights for social justice, peace and welfare.
The Heir to the Throne remembered that this institution was founded in London, in 1844, at a moment when there was "no spiritual or intellectual certainty" of organizations that fought for the physical well-being of young people. "The YMCA was, therefore, a pioneer in this scope", said the Prince. Don Felipe also emphasized the contributions of this organization towards a “culture of sport”, adopting "with great success" the well-known classic maxim: "mens sana in corpore sano".

Prince of Asturias with president Escuela of China-Europe Businesses
Prince of Asturias received today, in the Palace of the Zarzuela, to professor Liu Ji, honorary president of the School Chinese Internacional of Negocios Europe (CEIBS), with seat in Shangai. Liu Ji, that is in Spain invited by the House of Asia, knew Don Felipe in China, when the Heir of Corona traveled to that Asian country in 2000, in the occasion of the inauguration of ' Expohabitat'.
The Prince saluted today to the Chinese professor in hall hearings, where he talked with him. Liu Ji was in the Palace of the Zarzuela accompanied by the president of CEIBS, Pedro Nueno, the professor of the IESE and dean of the school of Shangai from 2002 to 2004, Alfredo Shepherd and of representatives of the embassy of China in Madrid. The Prince is present at the Concert of Christmas in the Royal Palace
Don Felipe presided today in the Royal Palace of Madrid at the concert of Christmas that there offered the Young Choir of the Foundation Prince of Asturias, who interpreted popular anonymous works and of different song-books as that of Palace or that of Upsala.
The concert of Christmas is celebrated every year for the personnel of the Royal Palace and of National wealth.
It takes place in the chapel that dates back of the XVIIIth century, and that is adorned by a paint of the Coronation of the Virgin, Corrado Giacuinto's work.
Don Felipe was present at the concert from the first row of banks, accompanied of the director of the Foundation Prince of Asturias, Graciano García, and of the president of National wealth, Yago Pico de Coaña.
The canopy, the armchairs and the couch, work of the embroiderer of Chamber Antonio Gonzalez of the Rivers of the epoch of Fernando VI, which occupy a place emphasized in the temple, are reserved for the Kings.
The concert began with ' Dindirin, dindirin ', anonymous composition of the Song-book of Palace, to which they followed other songs of Juan de la Encina, of Francisco Guerrero, of the Song-book of Upsala, of Angel Embil or of Jose Antonio Prieto.
The Young Choir of the Foundation Prince of Asturias included in the digest other works of French, English, Austrian, German and Russian authors.
