This is a bit off topic - but i've just observed that the PRESENT BEAUTIFUL CROWN PRINCESSES' name all starts with the letter M:
Mathilde of Belgium
Mette-Marit of Norway
Maxima of the Netherlands
Masako of Japan
Marie Chantal of Greece
Mary of Denmark (well, soon... though IMO she's not really as pretty as the others)
Then maybe Felipe should look for a nice pretty lady whose name starts with a letter M :P
Madeleine of Sweden :P Queen Sofia will surely approve that relationship- she's royal and all that :P
And maybe Prince William too will consider Madeleine of Sweden. Or they make look for a certain Mena, Mira, Marilyn, Margaret, etc... :P
Then in the future we'll have beautiful Queens whose names starts with letter M
just like now we have Beautiful Queens whose names starts will letter S
Sonja of Norway
Silvia of Sweden
Sophia of Spain
Haven't you noticed? the present Queens whose names doesn't start with letter S are - they inherited the title - they are not commonners who married husbands with the title that made them Queens :P
And the younger generation royal heirs - their name starts with a vowel
Aiko of Japan
Elisabeth of Belgium
then maybe, Haakon&Mette-Marit or Alex & Max could name their baby Emma of Erik :P

12-14 November 2003, Salzburg (Austria):
"2nd European Conference on Rural Development"
His Royal Highness D. Felipe De Borbón y Grecia, Prince of Asturias, chairing the opening session.
Quote:
The Salzburg conference is a follow-up to the Cork Conference on Rural Development (1996) which launched a wide debate on rural development policy. That process culminated in the Agenda 2000 reforms, which saw rural development policy established as the second pillar of the Common Agricultural Policy.
The conference is being held at a crucial time in the preparation of Community policy for rural areas for post-2006 and in the run-up to the publication of the 3rd Cohesion Report at the end of 2003. Rural policy will need to evolve to meet new challenges within an enlarged European Union.
The conference provides an opportunity for a wide reflection on the experience of the current generation of rural development programmes running from 2000-2006, and draw lessons and conclusions for the next generation of programmes during the period 2007-2013.
The conference brings together the major stakeholders in rural development within the EU. Participants include representatives of the EU-15 Member States and Acceding Countries, of other European Institutions, national and regional programme management authorities, Leader groups, a wide range of sectoral associations and NGO's, international organisations, academics and experts, all of whom are crucial to the success of this policy.

Steffan Persson, the chairman of the Swedish clothing retailer Hennes and Mauritz, right, recieves the 'Queen Cristina of Sweden Award' from Spain's Crown Prince Felipe at the Swedish embassy in Madrid, Friday, Nov. 14, 2003
I think Letizia is busy with other things in preparation for her own wedding and for her own self to be the future queen of Spain.
I think that if there are other events, Letizia should be present with the Crown Prince just like Mary D so that she would be exposed on what are the things that royals are doing and also she could already experience her future job.
