On the second photo from Terra: what is she holding on her hand?
The legend says she's observing the baby booties of bobbin embroider (encaje de bolillos), that was given to her

Great pictures, nice to see them still working in the summer. Does anyone know when they will go on holiday, and approximately how long it will be? Lovely skirt, and the colour is really nice on Letizia!

The Prince of Asturias said today, during the celebration of the centenary of the College of Lawyers of Sabadell, that the lawyer profession constitutes 'one of the basic pillars of the State of Right, on which is based the democratic system, drawn by the Constitution'.

Felipe de Borbón and Letizia Ortiz presided over this ceremony, which had a 'special connotation and identification' for the Prince, since he’s graduated in Law, and also because it was celebrated in the modern building of Caixa Sabadell, whose first stone was placed by his great-grandfather, king Alfonso XIII.

During his speech, which was pronounced in Catalan and Castilian (as usually happens, whenever he visits Catalonia), Don Felipe declared that 'the will of concord’ and the criterion that governs the search of 'more adapted and efficient solutions' 'must be permanent values for each good lawer’.

During this act, which was attended by more than 200 people, there took place the traditional imposition of the gowns to 24 new Lawyers, as well as the delivery of honorary standards to twelve lawyers, who have been exerting the profession for twenty-five years.

Before presiding over this act, the Princes of Asturias visited the city hall of Sabadell, where 3000 people, according to the Urban Guard, were waiting to greet them. In the consistorial building, the Princes signed the honour book of the city and received small gifts in name of the population.

During this meeting, that took place behind closed doors, the Princess commented that the baby booties would be for the summer, while the mantle, woven in merino wool (a fibre of long tradition in Sabadell, which provides a suitable tact for the babies) would be used next winter.

Besides, Doña Letizia asked for how long were the citizens waiting on the street. In order to not extend the delay, the Princes, against what was planned, went to the consistorial balcony, to greet the people, who thanked it with cheers.

While the reception in the city hall of Sabadell was taking place, representatives of different groups, as the ICV-EUiA, ERC and Entesa per Sabadell, hold a manifestation, showing placards against the visit of the Princes of Asturias. After the march, the Catalan actor Joel Joan read a manifesto, criticising the visit, the presence of police on the occasion of the act, as well as the costs that the city hall of Sabadell has implied in it; a claim that was rejected by the mayor.
