This it is the second trip that suspends the Princess in the occasion of its pregnancy. First the visit of yesterday to Teruel went, where Don Felipe inaugurated III the World-wide Congress of the Jamón, visited "Dinópolis" and took a walk by "the Oval". At the moment, Doña Letizia hopes to be able to travel to Japan to first of June.

The Princes of Asturias received yesterday the Socialist Youths, on an similar meeting to the one they had last Monday with the Youths of the Popular Party. Don Felipe and Doña Letizia talked with all of them and were presented with the individual standards of the organization, who informed the Princes of its projects.
In the morning, the Princes had also met a representation of the Press Association of Spanish Periodic Publications.
Besides, and without the company of the Princess, Don Felipe received in the morning the 44th promotion of the Fiscal Career, and, in the evening, before the meeting with the Youths of PSOE, Prince Felipe received a representation of the students belonging to the Balboa Program for young Latin American journalists.

the article is translated from google. They are not friends of Letizia, is a group of political journalists who by the sight meet with different personalities.
|
Here's the link to the article, for those who can read it in Spanish:
http://www.ociocritico.com/oc/actual...ernativo_3.php
It's a very interesting article. I've tried to translate it again (human translation is always something better than google... even when the translator is as bad as I am ):
The journalists of the group Crónica (that includes fifteen commentators of all the tendencies and companies) shared their weekly lunch with the Princes of Asturias, who litteraly put all those veterans of political chronicle in their pocket.
The Prince did not doubt in speaking of all the questions that were presented to him, even the most delicate ones, like the future of the monarchy and the tensions that are lived at the moment in politics, whereas Doña Letizia answered mainly to questions related to the adaptation to her new life, as well as to her pregnancy.
The members of the group kept their usual silence, concerning their weekly lunches, but they told some anecdotes. For example, that the Princess is taking her pregnancy with normality, with frequent and very annoying nauseas; that Doña Letizia feels like a privileged person for the political family she had received (to which the Prince added that he also considers himself as a privileged person for having the political family he has); that both of them are enthusiastic fans of cinema, and that they always watch movies as soon as they can. While Don Felipe enjoys difficult (intellectual?) films, Doña Letizia prefers those which usually get empty rooms, i.e. movies of minority publics. Besides, Don Felipe is less fond of opera than his wife, who’s always eager to take him to the Royal theatre.
What was clear is that the Princess of Asturias has definitely turned the page over; she doesn’t miss working in the media, although, before each official trip, she always appears with tons" of staff or pages from Internet, which she gives to her husband, so that they can study them together. And one more anecdote: Doña Letizia (who likes to eat everything, as she is a very good gourmet) dared herself to eat fried cockroaches that she bought in a street, during their honeymoon. The Prince did not even watch her, while she was proving what he assumed to be an oddity.

The Princes of Asturias will celebrate, tomorrow Sunday, their first wedding anniversary, fifteen days after officially announcing that they are expecting their first child for the next month of November.
It will be, a spokesman of the House of the King informed to Efe, an intimate and familiar celebration, that shall take place when the Prince returns to Madrid from Washington.
The Princes of Asturias got married on May 22nd, in the Madrilenian cathedral of La Almudena, in an historical ceremony and before more than thousand seven hundred guests.
During the toast, at the end of the banquet, the Prince publicly confessed that he was a happy man, because he had married the woman he loved. And on that occasion, the King told them to always think about Spain and to dedicate all their efforts to the Spaniards.
These twelve months have been dedicated to the accomplishment of this; a year in which Doña Letizia, helped by her husband, has learned to be a Princess, during the more than 200 official acts they attended in Spain and abroad; a year that concludes with the happy news that they will become parents in November.

More than 200 official acts (performed by the Princes de Asturias since their honeymoon, at the end of June 2004) have testified their commitment in service to Spain. Work is the word that is more used to summarize the first year of the couple; an anniversary that Don Felipe and Doña Letizia will celebrate next Sunday, when the Prince returns to Madrid, after attending in Washington an academic act in the University of Georgetown.

Miguel Garau, the Barcelonan man, who sent the Princes of Asturias a Lottery ticket as wedding gift, has now sent the couple another ticket with the same numeration, to celebrate their first wedding anniversary. Last year, the ticket sent to the Princes by this man would be awarded with more than 26000 €. The buyer of the ticket, Miguel Garau, is member of the Association of Veterans of RTVE, and said in declarations to Europa Press that this time he will also present the royal baby with the series 22500-22510, to which belong the numbers that appear on the wedding date (the 22504).
Garau decided to look for the number 22504 all over Spain: "I wanted that Letizia and the Prince had the awarded tickets and the only solution was to buy from the 22500 until the 22509, including the number of the wedding date”. According to Garau, "I could not imagine that the second prize of the Lottery would correspond to the very same day of the wedding, and that rejoiced me so much that I, who never happened to believe in lottery, had started to have more faith".
