From ABC:
http://www.abc.es/abc/pg050318/prens...AC-GEN-110.asp
Just three minutes to two in the afternoon – when occurs the first firing of the "mascletà" -, the Seat of the City Hall of Valencia, was collapsed by the applauses of thousands of people. T.R.H. the Princes of Asturias came into the balcony, accompanied by the president of the Valencian Generalitat, Francisco Campos, the mayor of Valencia, Rita Barberá, and the two Falleras Valencia, Gueguel Massmanian and little Cristina Sanchez.
Once on the balcony, the little fallera could not contain the emotion, when greeting the Princess of Asturias, and just broke down into cry. Doña Letizia took then her side, to console her, and she no longer left her, in the course of the act.
Don Felipe and Doña Letizia, dressed in a suit of jacket with white skirt, smilingly greeted the multitude and the journalists, who covered the act from a tribune placed between the zone of fires and the City Hall.
Although the Princes of Asturias made an official visit to the Valencian Community three months ago, for the occasion of the awards ceremony of the Prizes Jaime I, this was their first visit to las Fallas, reason why the popular expectancy to see the couple inevitably stole protagonism from the masterful pyrotechnics Ricardo Caballer and his mascletà, on the second great day of Las Fallas 2005, which unloaded 120 kilos of powder.
The Springer morning, with warm temperatures and a cloudless sky, allowed Don Felipe and Doña Letizia to admire the "mascletà" in all its magnitude and unfolding noise. During the event, Don Felipe kindly heard the explanations of the mayor, about this tradition.
In spite of being neophytes, the Princes of Asturias stoically held the decibels, without closing a smile. Only at some moment, Don Felipe covered his ears, to protect himself. When the thick smoke cloud left by the six minutes of uninterrupted firings was dissipated, the Princes of Asturias greeted the public and entered again in the City Hall. Nevertheless, the obstinate persistence of hundreds of people crowded around the row of balconies requesting "bis" had made effect, and T.R.H. went for the second time to the outside, in a gratefulness warm greeting.
The fallero day of the Princes of Asturias culminated with a traditional reception at the House of the Devesa de El Saler, whose menu consisted of allipebre, Valencian paella, orange and typical repostería.
After inaugurating Prince Felipe's Research Center, dedicated to the regenerative investigation, the Princes of Asturias attended, for the first time as a married couple, one of the traditional Valencian "mascletàs".

One of the pictures shows her almost toppled over to talk to Felipe. Boy, would it not be a pain in the neck for marrying a giant?

About last weekend in Asturias, from Diezminutos:
http://www.especialeshf.com/bodareal...noticia146.htm
The Princes of Asturias traveled Saturday 12th to the small village of Sardeu, five kilometers far from Ribadesella, in Asturias, to spend a short weekend with Doña Letizia's grandparents, Menchu Alvarez del Valle and Jose L. Ortiz, to whom she is very united, since she lived with them in the Principality, as a girl.
The Princes wished to visit the grandfather Jose Luis, who is of delicate health, and on the other hand, to enjoy the Asturian typical plates, that Menchu grandmother usually cooks. Letizia ate of everything and in amount, except fabes.
In addition, they met Erika, the youngest sister of the Princess, her husband, Antonio Vigo, and Carla, their daughter.
The Princes looked for tranquillity after these very intense weeks. The couple comes from an official trip to Brazil and Uruguay. On their return, they inaugurated in Madrid the International Summit on Democracy, Terrorism and Security and, on the 11th, they presided next to the Kings, the Dukes of Lugo and Palm, over the official funerals in honour of the victims of 11-M.
Don Felipe and Doña Letizia have slept at the Princess' grandparents' house (as whenever they travel to Sardeu), they have rested and taken a walk by the field, to recharge energies. Hardly they have left the house, except for one of the days, when Letizia went with her brother-in-law and niece, to buy pies in Ribadesella.
Whenever they travel to Sardeu, Felipe and Letizia sleep in "the arquera", the house of the Princess' grandparents. At this pretty house, Menchu grandmother prepares flavorful Asturian plates of which her granddaughter has given good account.

it's strange that we know what nearly all the crown princes will do about the wedding but no official information has been given about the spanish one.

From Europa Press:
March, 24th
According to eyewitnesses, the Princes of Asturias, Don Felipe and Doña Letizia, attended tonight in Madrid a representation of Art, staged in the Fígaro Theater since March 18th. The Princes, who arrived at 8.00 p.m., got their seats at row 8, predictably in order to immediatly leave the theatre, once the representation was finalized. However, according to spectators who enjoyed the same representation, once it ended up, they remained in the theatre, perhaps with the intention to greet the actors. Some spectators approached Don Felipe and Doña Letizia, requesting autographs or photos with them.
Art, of Yasmina Reza, is carried out by the Argentine actors Ricardo Darín, GermánPalaces and José Luis Mazza. The work, for the second time in Madrid, gathers three personages who, from a picture in target, reflect on the contemporary values and friendship.
