The Kings have realized an affectionate visit this Thursday to the former President Adolfo Suárez, who suffers a serious degenerative disease for years and have done to him delivery of the Necklace of the Celebrated Order of the Golden Fleece.

Don Juan Carlos and Doña Sofía have come to the midday to the familiar domicile. The meeting has been affectionate and very intimate and one could have seen them to walk together. Also there have been present other members of the family Suárez, who have chatted friendly with the King very interested in Suárez's state of health and in his cares.

i'm so glad to see the king and queen visited the duque of suarez in his residence. it really had a huge repercusion in spain and, even though it was a private and intimate event, every single channel is mentioning the visit and the photo (taken by adolfo suarez's son).

adolfo suarez suffers from alzheimer disease and has been an extremely important figure in the transition from the dictatorship in spain. his son mentioned that he didn't recognise the king but felt his affection.
