So did Esperanza Aguirre leak this to the media herelf or did somebody overhear them?
If mr. Losantos is representing the far right, why would he start about an abdication or even trouble the King at all? But as you say it is damaging the PP, would that mean that most indignation is about the journalist and not about the Kings remark?
Thanks for explaining, lula, this is most interesting and we had a simular thing in The Netherlands a few years ago, where it is certainly not done to quote the Queen or any other member of the RF.

The great doubt is knows the one who has filtered it and with that intention. Losantos indicates the Presidet of the Government. It seems that from the government they indicate the Argentine ambassador ... a circus where they all want " to wash the hands ".
There is a sector of the Spanish right, which always has been critical with the King. On the one hand, because it was the right the one that lost all the power when the democracy came, and on the other hand, because personally the King has had a better relation with the governments of left sides. Often this sector forgets that the King has a few functions that the Constitution grants him, and they are the democratically chosen governments who decide and not the King. Often they involve the King in political questions, in that he cannot decide.

queen sofia doesnt look like spanish at all, but very nice figur for old women and cloth is right. she looks so much like real old queen.
