This information seems to be contributed on the part of someone of certain ideology. Besides El País newspaper, another newspaper, El Mundo also has treated the same topic. Each one as it is interested to the political interests that it defends. Curiously the versions change from one to other one. Politicians' shame ... badly who speak more of the due thing, badly the Chairwoman of the Community of Madrid for opening a discussion that must not be kept in an official luncheon... The King must be more intelligent, at this moment the politicians and the press that supports them seem to be ready to extract benefit of any thing that could provide a vote ... the scruples do not exist.

I also read that apperently the King also told a cardinal cynically that instead of praying for him he could better do something about his reporters? The reporter who asked the King the abdication question was from a a station that is owned by the church.
Can anybody confirm this?
I agree lula, the King should keep such thoughts to himself and a close circle of family, friends and confidents, but maybe the situation of the last month had it´s effect on His Majesty´s mood (quite understandable).

Yes, Losantos, the journalist, famous (of negative form) for his excesses and his clashes, works the COPE, the radio of the Church. He represents to a right, very right, for many a bit radically. He criticizes to almost the whole people and has had several clashes with other journalists. The COPE it is a related radio to the PP, political group to which there belongs the Chairwoman of the Community of Madrid. Many people think that this type of Losantos's attitudes damage the PP, because it removes from all these voters moderated those who do not like certain attitudes.
The attitude of Esperanza Aguirre has seemed to me to be terrible, a public representative, cannot provoke the King of this form in an official luncheon ... a total lack of education. The King had to " bite the tongue ", for being the one who is ... but he is human and also he can lose the nerves, more when he is provoke this way. His commentaries do not stop being the same that a lot people have made great for time on this journalist.
