Desafío gains the two regatas of the day After the presentation, the King, adorned with the official clothes of Desafío like the rest of guests, raised in a rubber dinghy and visited the works that are being made in the Port of Valencia, including the emblematic building “Veles and Vents”. Later, he was transferred to ESP 65 to participate like crew member 18 in the regata that faced Spanish Desafío and China Team in the second day of Act 10.
Spanish Desafío 2007 gained the two regatas that disputed in the second day of Act 10 of the Glass of America although it did it helped, partly, by the failures which they underwent China Team and the Rossa Moon, one of the most powerful equipment of the competition. In these pre-regatas, the Rossa Moon releases a boat adapted already to the version 5. under whose rules the competition in 2007 will be disputed.

The King takes the luck to the Challenge

Don Juan Carlos navigates of crew member 18 before the China Team in an incomplete ditch The king Juan Carlos gave luck yesterday to the Spanish Challenge. The Monarch was raised to the ship the day in which two victories of a tacada were obtained. It yes, the Monarch went out to the sea with his red cap, it of always, which he uses when patronea his Bribón. It is the way of distinguishing it in the water.(...)

After finishing the ditch the King stooped the ship and was taken to one of the guests' sailboats of the Challenge. Of there he left to Barcelona, where from today he will return to be raised to a ship. But this time instead of going of invited crew member will be the boss of the Bribon, a TP-52, in the ditch Freixenet.

The King, passenger of exception of Fernando Alonso

BARCELONA. - The King Juan Carlos has been this midday a passenger of exception for the champion of the world of Formula One, Fernando Alonso. Alonso, to the steering wheel of a Renault Megane Sport, started burning the rubbers of the wheels and in a cloud of smoke he divided with the monarch sat in the seat of the co-pilot.
During the first return both were greeting 132.000 spectators who fill the circuit to attend the Great Prize, and having initiated the second one raised the windows and Fernando Alonso used thoroughly. Soon after his arrival to the circuit asked about the journalists, the monarch did not want to do a forecast of the career. " I do not like to do it, but my desire is that Alonso wins ", he said.

The King had come at eleven o'clock in the morning to the circuit and in the bus of Bernie Ecclestone, taken charge of the management of the Formula One in the organizational and economic aspects, he received seven times champion of the world, the German Michael Schumacher, and to the sports director of Ferrari, the Frenchman Jean Todt, and shortly after these went away Fernando Alonso entered.
In the way to the visit of the team of GP2 of his cousin Alfonso of Orleans, the monarch entered firstly the 'hospitality' of the team Renault, where he conversed with the parents of Alonso. In his walk along the "paddock" the King detained in diverse occasions to greet between others the secretary of State for the Sport, Jaime Lissavetzky; to the prince of Saudi Arabia Turki ben Nasser; to the sculptor Lorenzo Queen and to Kings, the wife of the pilot Pedro de la Rosa. Later there came the great moment to give the returns to the circuit, with Fernando Alonso's spectacular sudden departure.

The Kings of Spain will inaugurate next Thursday in the Royal Fortress of Seville the exhibition ' Ibn Jaldún. The Mediterranean in the XIVth century: Summit and declivity of the empires ', organized by the Councils of Presidency and Culture of the Meeting of Andalusia, across the Legacy Andalusí.
Ibn Jaldún was one of the principal intellectual ones of his epoch and, as part of hispolitical and diplomatic labor, met precisely in the Fortress of Seville the king Pedro I, who offered himto remain in Seville after verifying his knowledges, an offer that the Moslem wise person did not accept.
The exhibition, across something more about one hundred of pieces, many of only them, will revise the political, economic and social relations between East and West in the XIVth century and to give to know the historical role of Seville and of Spain during this century.

He's not celebrating his wedding anniversary with his wife? I thought maybe the Queen could've joined her husband in Barcelona to watch Alonso, at least they're still together on their anniversary. Did she have an act today? I guess after 44 years it doesn't matter anymore . But then again I never really believed that theirs was a marriage born out of love but of duty.

The Kings tomorrow visit the factory of Bayer in Langreo and the facilities of CAPSA in Siero

The Kings of Spain, Don Juan Carlos and Doña Sofía will be tomorrow in the region in a visit of noticeable industrial character. At twelve of the noon, Don Juan Carlos and Doña Sofía they will arrive at the facilities of the industrial plant of Bayer, in Langreo, where the 80 percent of the acetilsalicílico acid takes place that is used for the world-wide aspirin production.

The other company that tomorrow will receive the real visit is the plant that Central Lechera Asturiana S.A. (CAPSA) has in Siero. Don Juan Carlos and Doña Sofía will inaugurate afternoon to five of the second line of production of the new bottle of Milk Power station Asturias.

The Kings came to today midday to Asturias to visit the facilities of the Pharmaceutical Industry Bayer de la Felguera and to inaugurate the new facilities of Food Corporation Peñasanta S.A. (CAPSA).
Don Juan Carlos and Dona Sofía were got by the president of the Principality, Vicente Alvarez Areces; the delegate of the Government in Asturias, Antonio Trevín, and the archbishop of Oviedo, Carlos Osoro, between other authorities.
The Kings moved first to The Felguera - to approximately 20 kilometres of Oviedo-, where there is made 85 per cent of 216 million pills of aspirin that are consumed every day in the world.

Don Juan Carlos he attended from the barrier the bullfight of San Isidro's festivity. The monarch showed his support to the National Party and received the toast of three bullfighters of the evening: " Finito de Cordoba ", " El Juli " and Miguel Angel Perera. In a background, in the theater box of the laying four, the Dukes of Lugo contemplated the bullfighting feast, which did not expire with the expectations.
