"Dressed to make history"

And something from the last Tuesday:

From the other day but a beautiful image of Queen Sofia
SEPTEMBER 24: Queen Sofia of Spain presents the Gold Medal to Anais Garcia of Spain for her victory in the Womens 100m Freestyle S11 Final, on September 24, during the Athens 2004 Paralympic Games at the Swimming Pool in the Olympic Sports Complex Aquatic Centre in Athens, Greece. Recently there has been a lot of talk about the level of Queen Silvia's Swedish, not to mention past cases like Henrik's Danish or the Belgians' Dutch, but I was just wondering how Queen Sofia's Spanish is. Obviously she was born in Greece and I have read before that she speaks English with her husband and kids, so I was just wondering if her Spanish is perfect or if she has an accent or what...thanks!

The King and Queen look so happy in the picture of just the two of them!
:)
The Prime Minister of Bulgaria, former King Simeon of Bulgaria's wife, Queen Margarita is also family of sorts for King Juan Carlos. She is the sister to one of the husbands of King Juan Carlos's sisters. Did either of the King of Spain's sisters attend? Also, the King and Queen of Bulgaria have several children who live in Spain -- did they attend this private dinner at Zarzuela too?
I'm glad that the Infantas and their husbands attended this dinner too. I thought that after seeing the gala dinner pictures of Letizia and Felipe the other night that maybe Cristina and Elena wouldn't be participating in these sorts of events anymore because Letizia was now on the scene. Can't wait to see more pictures!

The King and Queen received today the Latvian president Vaira Vike-Freiberga. They had lunch together with Felipe and Letizia and later there'll be a Gala Dinner.

Queen Sofia and Iñaki Urdangarín were also at the Prince of Asturias Awards. The Queen was wonderful.
With that pink jacket that she already has worn the other day, she looks fantastic.
Here some pics:
