November 24, 2004: King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia arrived at Bush's Prarie Chapel Ranch for a working luncheon focusing on difficult relations between the two countries.

What is with Queen Sofia's pants? They look like they are men's work pants -- or in the least too loose for her.

I'm so rarely disappointed by Queen Sofia ...

You are right! The pants are bad.

He does seem to be quite jolly. I have heard that he can truly be the life of a party.

The kings of spain are going to vote in the european referendum in february.

2 Questions

I'm new to this forum but find the Spanish Royal Family enchanting. Two questions which may have been answered somewhere:

1. King Juan Carlos once had a yacht built near where I live in Door County, WI, USA by Palmer Johnson. I read it was blown up in an act of terrorism years ago. Who was behind this terrible act? Was anyone hurt? Was the King meant to be on it at that time or was this a "symbolic" attack?

2. Queen Noor and Queen Sofia have long been friends--no secret there. In her book, Noor describes visiting the home of the King and Queen of Spain and being so impressed as it felt homey, private but not distant from the people......she uses Queen Sofia a lot as a role model and tried to emulate her approach to homes later on. Is there a photo of their home anywhere? It sounded lovely.

Thank you.
