Already tomorrow, the President and Mrs Bush will be present at a dinner hosted by Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh for the G8 summit's participants at the Gleneagles in Scotland.
But before that, we have the luncheon with the Danish Royal Family to look forward too! :)

CP Frederik and CP Mary didn't meet them. The prime minister and his wife did.

For pics of the lunch given for Bush's visit go to the Danish Royal Family thread as Frederik also was there. http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums...453#post238453

Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik will take up residence at Graasten Palace next Friday, 22 July. They will arrive with the Dannebrog to Haderslev where they will be officially greeted, and after moving on to the Gråsten village - they will be officially welcomed to it at 11:05 AM.
Great pictures Alexandria, Queen Margrethe looks great! Is AM a picture agency, btw?

Yes, great photos, Alexandria. AM is Alexandria´s watermark. It is to show us that she took the time to post these photos. And to cut back on people(from other sites) stealing photos that she has posted. They are her initials. :)

I agree, the photos are great. Thanks Alexandria. I am bit bewildered though, the use of one's initials (I have also seen this done elsewhere) just about suggests that the initials are an agency's watermark, which is not the case. Would that not be violating copyright rules?

The date on the statue is July 5, 1849 which is the date that Denmark declared itself a constitutional monarchy. So I would say it´s in honor of the 156th anniversary of that day.

Some pictures from Colourpress.
I believe they are of the Queen and the Prince as they prepare to take up residence at Graasten Palace on July 22 2005.

I love the way the Queen takes off her gloves to shake hands, very down to earth. What a class act. Also, she looks very nice in the white hat & yellow jacket.

I agree Princess Gertrude, it is a very nice gesture that the Queen removes her glove when shaking hands!

I just finished watching a Danish documentary (in English) called "A Royal Family" and it was wonderful. I particularly took note, in that documentary, that the Queen seems very charming. She speaks perfect English in a very precise English accent and was extremely eloquent.

That documentary is wonderful, indeed. So many great pictures, and so interesting to have the memories of all the royals. It's always nice to see what they, like Queen Margrethe, remember of their relatives.
There is a thread on the topic (the documentary and the book) in The Royal Library if you want to share more opinions

Great pictures. Here is another article.
Queen confirms royal romance rumours
Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik praise their younger son's and former daughter-in-law's way of dealing with their divorce
Queen Margrethe knows that there is 'something' happening in her former daughter-in-law's private life.
The queen gave her curt answer at her annual press meeting at her husband Prince Henrik's wine chateau in Caïx, France, when reporters asked her to comment on reports of a romantic relation between 41-year-old Princess Alexandra and 15-years-younger portrait photographer Martin Jørgensen, a native of the Copenhagen suburb of Valby.
