Joachim apparently pays child support for his boys. Alexandra's salary is for work she does as a royal. So this salary apparently has nothing to do with the boys.

Does she work so mucht "as a royal" to have a salary? I don't think so. But now she will no longer be a member of the royal family so she should get a real job!

Well if the government and the Queen wish her to have it and have no problem with it that is good enough for me . I am sure she will be getting a job eventually as she is cutting back on her patronages.
