We may perhaps see even more of her. She was asked to stay on as representative with the organizations even after the divorce. She is highly educated, very professional and by press accounts very capable and proficient in foreign languges. She will perhaps be much more involved in international organizations, Red Cross and various organizations associated with UN as she will have more time as the boys get older. She will always be the mother of Q.M's first two grandchildren so I predict she will stay in the limelight and rightfully so.

Princess Alexandra opened thursday the launching of the global campaign of UNICEF Unite for Children. Unite against Aids which for the first time ever puts children on top of the international hiv aids agenda. One of the goal and wish of UNICEF to inform the world , that every minut a child dies of aids. That 15 milion children loose their parents because of aids and that day and night 5.000 young people are infected with aids. The launching took place in UNICEF s headquarter in Copenhagen.

She looks great.. thanks for the photos, Adry.

I don't think we'll see less Alexandra than she is doing right now. I certainly hope she'll not be taken away from her patronship & if she keep that, then we won't lose our dear princess alexandra. But, it's a bit too premature to start this kind of discussion. We'll just wait & see...

I am convinced that the the queen and her advisors took the possibility into account that prince Joachim might remarry when they set um the divorce agreement.

It would have been unfair to and humiliating for princess Alexandra and thus her lawyer and herself would surely not have agreed if her position was in any way connected to prince Joachims future marital status. Thus I don't think there will be a change as long as princess Alexandra does not remarry herself.

As for official occasions - that's what protokcoll experts are for: to find out how to deal with difficult situations. I'm quite sure we won't see princess Alexandra and any future "princess Joachim" sit next to each other. But on occasions where the queen or prince frederick invites the family, I wouln't wonder to see both the former and the current wife of prince Joachim invited as I got the impression that both the Royal and the Crown Princely couple seem to genuinely like princess Alexandra and to value her appearance at their festivities.

Back to my point: the queen granted the divorced princess Alexandra a place in the Royal family. She surely won't loose that place only because another member of the same family who is not longer related to her decides to remarry.

The Scandianvian countries have been some kind of prototypes for Europe when it came to deal with issues in society that change due to the modern times. I'm sure the Royal family of one of these Scandinavian model countries will be able to deal with divorce...

Greetings from Germany, where my former mother-in-law (I'm a widow from my first marriage) is definately not able to deal with my new family... Which is very sad for my son who is my late husband's child... I'm convinced the DRF will do better.

yes.. i agree, in some of the pictures she looks a bit sad & very serious. But, it doesn't really mean she's depressed or what, perhaps it just how the photographers / photo agencies chose the pictures. It would be great if they put more of 'smiling Alex' pictures there...

ps. a tiny bit detail drawn into her stocking, it has a 'different' pattern, is it not?

those hose just look weird to me, don't look especially flattering imo
alex looks beautiful, you are correct tho, seems to be a saddness in her eyes, seems really solemn for a happy occasion at a museum.

This woman is really remarkable.
Dressing in grey and black at her last engagements, serious facial expression - the "sad princess" from top to toes.
Very appropriate now that the mags are full of Joachim and Marie.
She just knows how to sell herself well.
