I found the entrance of the Royals into the church interesting:
a. Alexandra came in first, then came Joachim.
b. After him came Frederik and Mary, with Fred in front.
c. At last came Margrethe and Henrik, side by side.

Yes, it was interesting. I can see why Alexandra and Joachim entered seperately but it must be an issue of protocol where Fred walks ahead of Mary and Margrethe and Henrik walk side-by-side?

I would suspect, that Prince Henrik's pride is the reason behind Margrethe and Henrik walking side by side

Thanks Chatleen.
... it could be inferred then, that his "pout" of a few years had some success?

Prince Joachim's & Princess Alexandra's Foundation supports the collection for Asia.
Prince Joachim's & Princess Alexandra's Foundation has donated 100.000 kroner to the victims of the tidal wave catastrophe in Asia. The contribution is donated to UNICEF Denmark, of which Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra is patron.
The foundation supports humanitarian, cultural and educational purposes within or outside Denmark.
The foundation's capital consists partly of the surplus from sales of the commemorative coin on the occasion of the wedding 18 November 1995, partly from a merger in 2004 with Prince Joachim's and Princess Alexandra's International Education Foundation, which were established on the occasion of the wedding 18 November 1995 with money donated by Bikuben and The Sociaty for Education of Young Businessmen among others.

The elegant royal has been taking a prominent role in her country's campaign to help the stricken peoples of Asia

Alexandra was received by the Mayor of Frederiksberg when she arrived in the northern city

 13 JANUARY 2005
Denmark's Princess Alexandra lived up to her reputation for elegance when she stepped out in the northern city of Frederiksberg. The Hong Kong-born royal, who was making an appearance in her role as president of her country's branch of Unicef, was looking radiant in a black velvet jacket and a retro-style skirt of oversize black and white sequins.
The princess, who has been doing all she can to raise funds for victims of the tsunami tragedy in Asia, was in town to collect a donation from the citizens of Frederiksberg. Alexandra is well-known for her commitment to good causes, serving as a patron for 21 different organisations in her adopted homeland.
Despite the recent upheavals in her personal life, the royal has continued to immerse herself in charity work. In September she and her husband Prince Joachim announced that they were to divorce, but just a few weeks later the princess travelled to Asia in person to publicise efforts to help impoverished girls in the region.
And upon her return to Copenhagen the pretty royal hosted a gala ball to raise money for the agency’s work. Thanks in part to her participation, Denmark is one of the top five per capita donors to Unicef.

I like what alexandra is wearing very much, the colour combination, the jacket open untill the waist, belt, hat, stockings, shoes. Great.
the body language in the first picture is a bit sad but it probably is because they were reflecting on the victims and not for personal reasons.

I wasn't sure where to put this questions so please bear with me.
Who decides who becomes Princess Alexandra's lady's in waiting and how do you get to become a lady in waiting?
