He was dark-haired - see http://www.um.dk/Publikationer/UM/En.../chapter01.htm (scroll down to the pic of the old King Frederik IX with daughter Margrethe and grandchild Frederik at the bottom)
And this is dark-haired Frederik as a toddler http://worldroots.com/brigitte/royal...rgdenmark2.jpg (from Worldroots)

What an adorable baby!
He seems to have a mix of features....mainly from Mary, Frederick and Henri. I hadn't realised his eyes are blue! Also, is his hair blondish?

Well, at least it's an excuse to get people to gather and party, I guess that's always good..:)

But if I were them, I'd emulate Alexandre and Maxima of the Netherlands. When Amalia turned 1, they released a picture of the tot with a pie and the happy family surrounding her. That was enough. For everyone. Just my 2 cents.
I agree with you!

If we're going to dance in the streets in a couple of weeks, they could at least warn us locally so we get a chance to polish our dancing shoes
Wonder who invented that story

Today, HE Per Stig Møller, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark, officially listed HRH Prince Christian as heir to the Danish throne in the line of succession. All four names of the little prince were written along with the names of the eight godparents, as the Royal Law of 1799 dictates. Thus, Prince Christian is as of today, officially, heir to the Danish throne after his father!

He wasn't before? I mean, officially? So the official line of succession was Fred, then Joachim until today?

I wondered that too, I always assumed that it just happened automatically when the baby was born? That is interesting.

New SAS airliner named after Prince Christian

In celebration of their 60th anniversary, Scandinavian Airline System has unveiled four brand new A319 aircrafts. The first A319 for the company was delivered on August 8, 2006. It's called the Christian Valdemar Viking, in honor of the first child of the Danish Crown Prince.

photos of the carrier can be found here:

Today the world has embraced new royal Princesses in the form of Mary of Denmark and Maxima of the Netherlands. But it's questionable whether even these hugely popular, increasingly glamorous future Queens will ever capture the world's imagination in the same way as Diana.
As Mario acknowledges: "She really was a true Princess".
