i wonder why the kids are so often seen with different nannies in public and not with their parents ... we don't know the background but it does not send out the best of messages since the parents don't seem to be busy with promoting royal business at the moment (and for the last days or even weeks).
the kids are getting cuter with age, especially christian.

Isabella is getting big! When I first saw the photo, I thought it was Christian. The female nanny looks like the same nanny that was in the photos that were taken in December. There is a man in the ISIFA photos. Is he also a nanny? I've never seen him before.

I was thinking the same thing: in all the picture I saw these children were with nannies. little princes in other RF are always photographed with their parents. IMO, this is not a really good image for the Danish RF, especially for CP Mary.

This is blowing it out of proportion. Christian and Isabella are photographed with their parents as well. These pics could just as well have been taken when they were playing in kindergarden - and who would comment on that
Commenting pics of royals is fun - but sometimes the over-analysing is going a bit too far for my taste.

Take a break!! What on earth is wrong about letting the children play in the snow along with their nannies??? They are playing at home in their own private garden/park. If some papparazzi-photographer had not snatched the photos from a sneaking position somewhere in the surroundings you woulden't have seen the photoes.
The children are playing at home! Who knows maybe Mary, while they were playing, was baking cookies and making hot chocolate for them to have after playing in the snow. Or more realistic maybe Frederik and Mary were working.

Haven't you seen that on sunday Frederik was in the snow with Christian?
I think that Christian and Isabella are the royal kids which are most often seen in public and in "normal" situations, which means in every-day-life.
The dutch A-team we see 3 or 4 times a year in a official photosession, and than of course with parents. The same for the spanish, belgian and norwegian kids.
As far as I remember we have seen C&I only 3 times with the nannies in the last month, yesterday, on christmas in Marseliesborg, and in summer during the summertour, that is not much!

I did a zoom to the date, it was taken on the 17th which was a Monday and the pictures were probably taken around noon, cause I doubt kids that age go out early in the morning
That would be a workday on work hours and Mary is a WORKING MUM like millions of other women. I don't think it is our place to criticize their parenthood or call shame on them, especially not on her.

For all we know the children of the other royal families could also be playing in the snow with their nannies and bodyguards but just away from the public eye. Because Isabella and Christian were seen in the open with the nanny and PET Officers Mary and Fred are critisized for not displaying proper parenting skills. How ridiculous!

yes you are right other royal children certainly play with bodyguards and nannies, but not in public. therefore my post was not about parenting skills, but about the message that people get when they see such pictures. now i could argue that mary & fred are only honest to show it the way it is in royal households, kids partly looked after by staff, and the others are either more hypocritical or have more reclusive homes. anyway, allowing such pictures is an - obviously taken into account - invitation to gossip or speculate about the the kids' upbringing, especially with the background of mary's statements on nannies (there is a separate thread about that).

It's strange that it is always the same people that start these ridiculous exchanges, they must thrive on gossip. Majority of people see it for what it is, children playing in their own back yard, yes with their nanny, like millions of other children around the world, that are looked after by someone else, because they have working parents. The only difference is that there is not photographer waiting to take their photos.

I'm not criticizing Mary' skills as mum, because I perfectly know she's a working mother. I'm just saying that probably they could be more careful, because paparazzi and journalist can get, as Duke of Marmalade with justice said, the wrong massage(as I did) from these photos.

Please remember that we have a thread which discusses The Nanny issue for Mary here. So lets leave this thread talking about the little ones; Christian & Isabella.
Thank you

Frederik and Mary live at a place surrounded by a park with public access. They and their kids use the park; Frederik's parents before him have used the park as have his grandparents. Only difference between Frederik and his parents and grandparents are the photographer lying in wait - and the number of people analysing every royal step on the Internet.
It's as simple as that.

I love that pic where Christian has his hands out and Mary looks like she's saying "get in the car now" and he's like "why mom why?" haha typical 4-year-olds princes or not.

This is a really cute video of Mary and the kids. You can hear all three of them talk, even Isabella. I think Mary has a really good relationship with her kids and is very loving.

I don't think it is neccesary to say that the Royal Family should be careful of the implications. There really are not any. Unless you are looking to put something on a photo that isn't there. Why should the children not be allowed to go to the park and play like normal children. I think the Danish royals are a very transparent royal family and very laid back. They really don't hide anything. But people will read into anything. It is much more fun to rip someone apart.
