Lorissa I agree. I don't think that you need to take a course like that.

Any individual who was raised to be confident, respect themselves and others, and have basic manners knowing how to conduct themselves properly should never need to take a course like that. From what I know of you, you are fine. :)

Only people who are extremely far gone or who never had that extra push as adolescents need to take courses of that nature, IMO.

It is interesting to see the change in Mary's physical appearance, Kelly. But, I have to admit that she didn't really look horrible IMO before she moved to Denmark. She did need to wax her eyebrows a bit, but other than that I think she still looked very attractive. However, I did see the picture of her when she was still in Australia on Starmaker's website along with that famous picture of her sitting at a bar or table :?: that was on Rexfeatures, and they were both horrible, especially the one on the Starmakers site.

I especially enjoyed the rear shot of F & M from one of the first weddings they attended, where Fred had his hand on the small of her back. It's one of the only pictures where I felt some chemistry between them.

Jaqueline, I totally agree with you about Mary not looking that bad in the pre-Denmark pics. A little tweeze here and there and a lighter shade of lipstick brought out her face.

Aussie girl has Danes on edge of their seats
Will she, won't she?: Though she may be a world away here in Sydney, real estate agent Mary Donaldson has the entire population of Denmark on tenterhooks as they anxiously wait to see whether she will join her lover Crown Prince Frederik for a white Christmas in Denmark.

Sydney real estate agent Mary Donaldson may have won the heart of Denmark's Crown Prince Frederik but she appears in no hurry to rush to his side.

"I am not going to Denmark," she said last week before taking an after-work drink that turned into dinner with her Belle Property boss Chris Meehan.

Describing the royal fuss that has surrounded her as "ridiculous", Ms Donaldson, 28, pasted on her most regal smile and calmly chose to continue her meal at The Light Brigade pub in Oxford Street.

But Denmark's 5-million strong population is on tenterhooks, waiting to see if she will fly in to spend Christmas in the snow with the family of her lover.

The Danes are reportedly thrilled at the prospect of the heir to their throne marrying a woman from abroad, who has no reputation in Denmark.

Last week, photographs of Ms Donaldson, wearing a pink housecoat by the pool of a French chateau, appeared in Danish magazine Billed Bladet.

Prince Frederik, 33, was shown in the gardens in the pictures which were taken as the couple shared a summer sojourn together.

The magazine said the brunette just missed meeting her possible future in-laws. Queen Margrethe and her husband Prince Henrik flew in just after Ms Donaldson and Prince Frederik flew out.

Queen Margrethe, 60, must officially approve her son's choice of bride although there is nothing in the Danish Constitution to prevent him from marrying a commoner.

But Ms Donaldson's mathematics professor father has met the Prince and given the romance his seal of approval.

It is believed the couple met in the United Airlines hospitality marquee at Olympic Park during the Sydney Olympics. As The Sun-Herald revealed last week, Ms Donaldson has met the Prince once every other month since then.

Danish royal watchers are convinced the heir to their throne, Crown Prince Frederik, is about to announce his engagement to former Sydney real estate agent Mary Donaldson.

Ms Donaldson was wearing a large ring on her left ring finger when she was spotted in public with the crown prince in Denmark last weekend. The ring is the latest development in a romance that began two years ago at the Sydney Olympics and has since captivated Denmark.

Whether the ring signifies an engagement has Danish royal watchers in a frenzy of debate. The 30-year-old former Belle Property agent and her 34-year-old royal lover are becoming increasingly public with their affections.

While there is a question mark over the engagement, there is no doubt Ms Donaldson is being groomed to assume the role of future queen of Denmark. Gone are the casual outfits she used to wear before she left Sydney. In their place are smart suits like the white and beige ensemble she wore to the baptism, and stunning couture gowns like the one she wore to the wedding.

Does anyone think that Mary's friends or famiy members are reading the various message boards from time to time just to see what is being said about Mary? What about Beatrice Tarnawski (sp ) and some of Mary's old co-workers? I wonder if they are reading the things written on the boards about Mary?

Thanks, Lorissa for the pictures. I hadn't seen several of those. I believe that Mary has improved from her prom days.

Do you think Marys family is so close knit that they would care what she is up to or would feel invested enough in her life at this point to be concerned what we say about her. It's sad but, they don't appear to be that close. :(

I would not be a bit surprised though if Mary herself purused these boards to gauge public opinion of her, her outfits and her re;ationship with Fred. :o

How are you? Thanks so much for your compliments. I am so glad that I didn't offend you. My sense of humor is really silly most of the time. You should see what I do with my friends photos when their birthday comes up. I love adding the captions and just make something funny. I mean no harm or to offend anyone. I really love the first photo when she was in the pink outfit and she looks so good. I hate it when girls loose too much weight and it likes like they are wasting away. We are all going to be mothers one day - so we have got to eat.

Sylvia, I think that she has mtured into a beauty. I think that her old photos gives a sweet baby look and now she has matured into a beautiful goddess and looks sexy and ready to kill Fred.

How are you? Great point you just made. I wouldn't be surprised as she is more self conscious about her appearances, got a "job", moved out and appear to be a little bit more in control, but not enough (must be taking KellyB's advice). Her fashion sense has become more stylish and complimentary to her figure now then it was six months ago. I don't think she would care about people's opions, but would check the message boards out just to see what the public are thinking. For me I am the sort who would like a strangers opion -it doesn't mean I have to take it, but it is interesting and provides a wide option of thought.

Hi Kathy, I love your avatar. :) I don't think that Mary is that close to her family, and honestly, it doesn't appear that they are that close to one another in general. Of course, I could be wrong about that, so we may have to wait and see if anything surfaces about their relationships with one another. However, Mary really doesn't seem to be that interested in her family. I remember that she didn't attend the funeral of her grandmother (her father's mother). I could understand her not being that close to her grandmother, but not even attending her funeral is a bit much, IMO. I believe that Mary was actually named after her grandmother. It's just awful that she didn't attend the funeral. Someone wrote that a letter from Mary was read at the funeral, but I think that she should have attended. Even if you don't get along with all members of your immediate family, you should at least attend their funerals. It's just a sensible and humane thing to do. I don't know what her excuse was other than she was too hard up or afraid to let go of Fred for two or three days to go to her her grandmother's funeral. She wasn't working at that time or doing anything of substance, so what was her excuse?

Sometime this week - or next, can&#39;t find it on their webpage - TvDanmark will show a programme about Mary. They&#39;ve obviously been to Australia because the people in the show are from Marys school ect. I think the infamous Beatrice is in the programme as well. So I quess Marys request of silence wasn&#39;t heard.

One of the young men actaully says that &#39;You&#39;ve have to be gay not to enjoy her&#39;. I think that is making her quite a bit more wonderful than she really is. Sure, she&#39;s pretty, tall and so on, but come on&#33; At least my husband doesn&#39;t agree It also makes her sound kind of trashy IMO. A pitty for her to have so a programme on air.

How are you? Thank you so much for the information and when the programme does air, please will you give us all a summary of what was discussed. I agree with you that it does sound like she has really been around. I think that its a shame that all this has to come out in the open and make her look bad now. The people have kept quite for so long know so why suddenly spoil things for her? It would be also awful if the guys gave sordid details the way they did in Australia about The countess of Wessex and her lovelife while down under. :) I found it strange that Mary had to call up everyone and tell them to not talk to the press when she started going out with Fred. For me personally if I was dating a Prince I would not mind one bit if my teachers, professors,friends and family spoke about me to the press as I have nothing to hide. But why the big secret for Mary to keep her past so tightly sealed? I am sure that many Danes are entitled to know about her lifestyle or the type of life she lived if she wants to become their future Queen, but still I think its unethical when close friends talk or disclose info to the public about their friends activities. If Fred really loves her than he wouldn&#39;t care as did Prince Edward and as the late Princess margaret&#39;s son, when he chose to marry lady Serena, whose ex-lovers told a XXX rated story to magazines of their bedroom activities.

MariaF, do you think it will effect Mary&#39;s chances of becoming Fred&#39;s bride? or HM &#39;s opion of Mary? If more lover&#39;s were to come out and do something similiar to Lady Serena&#39;s lovelife?

I remember her too..she obviously had a differing opinion--which is fine--but then she got personal....it was fun though. (he --he-he--sometimes irrational people just brings out the devil in me)

I think its natural to be curious to see what people think of you. I am positive at some point she has checked it out. Does she anymore? Who knows? Now that she has a "job" and is traveling all over the place...where would she find the time?

There was a conversation on the other Fred board about how close Mary is to her family. Several people mentioned that she appeared to be going on so many trips with Frederick but never back home (until recently for the friend&#39;s wedding) to see her family . And she didn&#39;t return to Australia for her grandmother&#39;s funeral (the grandmother she was named after). I just figured she wasn&#39;t that close to her family..not every family is that tight.

I don&#39;t think Mary is "all that and a bag of chips", as they say. She is attractive but not striking, imo.
I think the Danish media seems to pump her up quite a bit. I mean they can&#39;t write that their Crown Prince is dating a "Plain Jane". That wouldn&#39;t sell any papers, would it?

I think she has potential. She should definitely ease up and not try so hard. What she may not realize that as flattering as she finds the press right now, it is a setup for down the road.

WHen you are way up high--there is usually only one place to go. I mean, Sarah Ferguson was praised and loved by the press and public for being "a breathe of fresh air" and "a lovely natural red head". And when she gained weight and then didn&#39;t act as royal after the wedding..she was criticized.

I couldn&#39;t agree more. There really is nothing great about all of these magnificent super powers that the Danish press has been giving her for this long period of time. It&#39;s definitely hard to live up to that, and eventually if she becomes CP, she will have to and that is where the real battle will begin. I think that the hype is just based on the fact that many people want to see Fred married and they want a wedding. Once the wedding is over, the other kinds of scrutiny will begin-the over-critical, hypocritical, not so flattering type.

I definitely think that Mary&#39;s physical appearance could use some improving. Right now she&#39;s Ms. Good Enough-Best Chance For A Future CP Of Denmark, so she could wear a potato sack and it would be called "daringly fashionable" or "chic" If she went a few days without combing her hair or bathing, she would be considered "low-maintenance" and "natural."

IMO, she looked a little better when she had a little bit more meat on her bones. An extra five pounds would definitely keep that skin looking smoother, and she wouldn&#39;t look as though she were withering away like some old tree with root disease. She could also use a haircut at about this time, since she has lost so much weight her face is really thin and her eyes have that kind of hollow and glassy look in some photographs. A new haircut or a trim could help to frame her face. Yes, there is definitely room for improvement.

Thanks so much to Sylvia and Tisha who searched far and wide and found the pictures of Mary taken before she left for Denmark. I really love her hairstyle when she is talking on the phone at Sydney airport. Now I don&#39;t have to look like cousin "IT" from the Addams family anymore and have a decent style.
