Frederik will be traveling to the Invictus games in Sydney from the 21st to the 26th
"HRH The Crown Prince will be present in Sydney and support the 25 Danish veterans who participate in the disciplines sitting volleyball, swimming, archery, rowing, cycling, athletics, power lifting, driving challenge and sailing."
Frederik also attended the games in London and has worked with injured veterans. A few months ago he visited the Danish Invictus team

Written by our reporter at sea, Trine larsen.
Kongelig Danske Yachtklub = Royal Danish Yacht Club = KDY presented Frederik with a boat for his 50th birthday and now it was time to present it.
It was cold, rainy and windy that day.
Frederik had shanghaied his oldest son, Christian for the event, and issued a large goblet with sea-water Christian baptized the boat: I christen you Nanoq (Polar bear) and I wish you and your crew good luck and godspeed."
Despite the poor weather the two decided to take a turn at sea with the new boat for half an hour.
Afterwards Frederik commented: "It's a really lively boat which is very much alive and fast when you turn about. You can sail it like a dinghy and it's easier than you think."
Christian said: "It was really fun to sail it. It's another type of boat than what I have tried before".
The boat, a J/70 boat has all kinds of practical features making it easy to transport on land.
Q: Is it a boat the Crown Prince will be using?
Frederik: "I sure imagine so. It's a good class, a new dinghy-like boat, which can also be pulled by even small cars and which is easy to take around with you and in which there is room for the whole family."
In return for baptizing the boat Christian was presented with a present by the chairman of KDY, Lars Ive: "Today you, Prince Christian, became godfather to a boat and then you are normally presented with a little present. But I thought it was a bit meek to give you a bouquet of flowers, so here you instead have four life jackets that you can present to your siblings and your mother, so that they too can go sailing."
Frederik was also asked about his back.
Q: On the boat You didn't troubled after Your back surgery?
F: "No, I'm after all standing here.
No, it's fine. The back just need a little exercise, reconstituting exercise. It went well out there I think. And it was after all only a small prolapse."

thank you Muhler. This was nice to read, a nice event for the both of them. And good to hear Frederik is recovery well. He has been non stop.

Me too. Fortunately Mary is also fond of sailing, so let's hope we will see the whole family on the boat from time to time.
Summary of article in Billed Bladet #41, 2018.
By our man at the theater, Ulrik Ulriksen.
Last weekend Mary took her four children to Tivoli to see the gala premiere of The Magical Mask. A theater performance about Christian VII who becomes king at age 16 in 1766 and who together with his 15 year old wife, Caroline Mathilde, must struggle hard in order to stay in control and preserve their marriage. Although a mix of history and fairy tale it's suited for children aged five and up. The performers were all dressed up in period costumes. (That alone should make it worth a watch!)
Mary and the family was escorted to the theater by the businessman Fritz Schur, who is a member of the theaters board. - He also handles the personal economy and investments of QMII. Whether he also advise M&F is an open question.
Frederik couldn't attend, he was in South America.
Tivoli was dressed in autumn colors and decorated for the upcoming Halloween, part of which has been adopted here in DK over the past 20 years.
Several of the actors stood outside waiting for the family, whom the greeted.
During the intermission the family went to a nearby restaurant, still inside Tivoli though. Here they enjoyed cocoa, coffee and lemonade and at least Josephine roasted a marshmallow or two. That is when the children weren't busy tossing chestnuts among themselves or Christian telling jokes to his sister.
After the performance the family congratulated and thanked those who had performed for them and then it was back home.

Lovely outing! love seeing the siblings interact
Today, The Crown Prince family started the autumn holiday by visiting the exhibition "Adventure Queen" at the Amalienborg Museum, where H.M. The queen's costumes and scenarios are displayed.
Amalienborg Museum and Snedkerværkstedet at Amalienborg as well as a number of castles associated with the Kongehuset will open this evening in connection with the Copenhagen Night Night in Copenhagen

Thank you for the lovely video, polyesco! Great to see them together and having fun with Margrethes creations.
Is it just my impression, or has Frederik a really tight schedule the last weeks? I hope he has a few free days with his family in the autumn holidays.

I thought the same  He's really growing up. I hope he doesn't loose too much of his self confidence (some teenagers do), being who he is would for sure not be easier if you are shy and feel insecure. But I always had the impression that he doesn't really mind the attention (Frederik and Mary did a good job here with all their children), so I just hope that that won't change.
And I am really curious about his style choices and changes the upcoming years. He's Henrik's grandson, so I hope we can expect a little not to boring fashion action

Yes, Frederik has been very busy these past weeks. - Unfortunately it hasn't been covered very well here in DK, which is such a pity.
By now I think it's pretty safe to say the family is in Trend, for the autumn holiday next week.

I imagine the family is in Trend these days on an extended weekend, because the week we are entering is the yearly autumn holiday for schools.
And we have an Indian Summer (*) right now and well into next week, with sunshine and temperatures up to 22 C (71.6 F). The highest temperatures for some 147 years, sine official recordings began.
Usually Mary spoils us with a few snaps from Trend, which must look beautiful now with the trees beginning to dress in autumn colors.
On top of that it's Christian's B-day tomorrow, he will become a teen.
So we can expect some new photos.
Now that Christian turns 13 tomorrow, come Tuesday his face will be full of pimples (at least when he looks at himself in the mirror), his nose and ears will be too big and asymmetrical as well, his voice will crack at all the wrong moments and for the next seven years his parents will be even more hopeless and old fashioned than usual!
So look out, newsdiggers.

It touches the fact that an increasing number of people close to or past the golden anniversary are being divorced - and why.
