Well, at least the Danish press seems to have agreed on not showing close-ups of children. And the only closer shot of M&F and their children was from behind so that we can't see their faces.
https://www.aoh.dk/artikel/20190504/...a-ofre?tdmv=C4
The names of the children were Alfred, Alma and Agnes. The surviving child is named Astrid.
The cathedral was full, some 1.000 present. In addition to that some 2.000 had gathered outside the cathedral to show their respect.

From one of the articles:
"But since they knew there was tremendous public interest, the press has been allowed to be present under special conditions because the Holch Povlsen family also knows that a terrorist attack is of national interest."
And that is only outside the cathedral.

The photos of the children seem so intrusive, they are all clearly upset. I wish I hadn’t clicked the article.

My apologies.
Had I known Daily Mail would add these photos of M&F's children, I would never have posted the link.
As such I have deleted my post. If you wish to see the DM article, you will have to go to Daily Mail's webpage and look there.

So dreadful and very upsetting. I guess the whole family will need some counselling especially the surviving child. Moving on from here will be so very difficult for the family. I tear up just looking at the procession.

Although the press was allowed to cover the funeral those pics of the children made me think of the very intrusive pictures taken of Crown Princess Mary during the funeral of Tine Jørgensen a few years ago. While, I guess, it's not illegal for the press to take photos it's very disrespectful.

My heart broke seeing the coffins and the rest of the family standing in front. How does one simply go on after such an incomprehensibly devastating tragedy?!
My hearts go out to them. I pray our Heavenly father- comforts them through this incredibly grievous time.

I have a friend she passed together with her brother in Finland when the police chase a drunk driver and he went upcoming , killing both, 21 and 22 years old, their mother lost both of them at the same time and she did not have other kids, and after 17 years I have such a difficult time to get over this. So I can not even imagine the pain that this family is going through the same for the little girl that has to go on. It is heart braking to see the photo of the daily mail, And see Mary's kids crying is so touching! May this family and all their friends find some strength in this difficult time. I hope God bless them with more children, it will never replace anyone but would bring them some joy.

Sometimes I believe it would be a good idea for royal women to wear a short veil at the funerals of loved family members.
The photo of the QM, the Queen and princess Margaret at the railway station all wearing veils is an unforgettable image where the QM was arranging things and Elizabeth and Margaret seemed almost in shock.
The press was nowhere near as intrusive as it is now and everyone has a camera phone to boot. Photos of loved Royals are shown on all their haggard, tear-stained grief and will be shown around the world front page. Ugh.

I too wish I hadn't clicked on the photos... they were heartbreaking to see and it would've been best if the press hadn't been there considering that this was a private funeral, and not a "normal" one at that since the deceased were very young and died due to a terrorist attack. Just a general notification that the family were there would've been better, as some newspaper outlets did, IMO.
My sincere condolences to the family and the DRF.

I don’t know how I feel about seeing the photos of the grieving royal guests. I will say, though, that I didn’t realize they’d have photos of the parents and surviving little girl. I scrolled down and saw a few before I even realized what I was looking at, and they’ll stay with me for a long time. I can only hope that seeing the pictures has resulted in even more people sending out prayers and good thoughts to ALL the families who lost loved ones. And that hopefully the families take some small comfort in knowing those people and good wishes are out there.

Message from Mary on Instagram
"Today, it is exactly 10 years ago that I participated in the Mother's Day event "The Art of Rescue a Mother". Here I met Dr. Grace Kodingo - a birth doctor from Chad - and she said, "When a woman in my country gets pregnant, she's got a leg in the grave". The words made a very big impression on me and became the start of my commitment to combating maternal mortality and the work of women and girls' right to determine their own body.
Over the past 25 years, a woman's risk of dying as a result of pregnancy and childbirth is almost halved. But over 300,000 women in the world continue to die every year. Most of these deaths occur in developing countries and could have been avoided. And pregnancy and childbirth complications are globally the leading cause of death among girls aged 15-19.
There is still much to work for. H.K.H. Crown Princess."

Wonderful! Maternal mortality is an issue close to my heart. Here in the USA it is on the rise. 8 months ago my cousin died giving birth in Maryland.
Well done CP Mary!

I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin, my sincere condolences to you and your family.
In this day and age the rise of maternal mortality is disturbing and is something that requires a lot more attention, especially in developing countries.

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #19, 2019.
Written by Ulrik Ulriksen.
BB has not shown any photos in the article of grieving relatives or children. They have shown one, but respectful, photo of the CP-family.
Many, both from the official Denmark as well as friends and relatives as well as many ordinary Danes showed their respect at the funeral of Alma, Agnes and Alfred, who were murdered in Sri Lanka.
Apart from M&F and their four children.
The Prime Minister and several ministers were there.
As well as a number of friends of M&F as well.
Peter and Caroline Heering are good friends of the Holck family and I guess it's through them M&f know the family.
The same thing applies to Christian and Mette Ahlefeldt-Laurvig.
But also Mary's hairdresser, Søren Hedegaard was there, with his husband.
After the ceremony at Aarhus Cathedral that was filled to the last seat and the final touch where the surviving child, Astrid, released a number of balloons, the hearses were driven to cemetery at Ormslev Church at the outskirt of Aarhus, close to where the family lives. And here the coffins were buried at a private ceremony for the family. This is the church where the children were baptized.
There was a gathering for those who attended the funeral at the home of the Holck family afterwards.
But see for yourselves here: https://app.box.com/s/ydkhi0k4z1iz1t6rv7pg535c0jizwk1t

Thanks Polyesco
Yes they were having lunch at Sletten Habour
You can see Christian, Isabella, Vincent and Josephine in the first boat with the Heering family (Peter and Caroline Heering and their two daugthers).
Next boat with Frederik and Mary and some friends I didn't recognize in the video.
I too think it was a birthday lunch for Frederik who has birthday today.
Another photo from a private Dane as the family leaves for lunch:
