I agree that Frederik looks like he's having a good time there (although the ACR must be exhausting!) He's in his element on Greenland and it's wonderful to see. Speaking of being in his element, I saw a really lovely comment about Frederik on a Greenlandic article about the Arctic Circle Race: "Other countries can learn from Greenlandics, our Crown Prince can run freely and safely amongst all common people – by the look on his face, you can tell he's relaxed and feels home here."
The love between Frederik and Greenland is definitely mutual

Really wonderful to read, thank you for sharing . Greenland loves him, and the feeling is clearly mutual.
Frederik said that he has been thinking about this race for the past 4 years, so it's lovely that he has finally being able to experience it.

Thanks for all the coverage of Frederik during this weekend's ACR
Greenland is the owner of the most beautiful landscape, isn't it? Particularly when the sun shines from a blue sky.
Frederik may soon reach the finish line and implement the ACR now......
Here is a video of Frederik getting a mountain renamed after him along the way - I see Frederik has no more hurry to implement the ACR than he took good time to a chat and a hug

Frederik has completed! And came over the finish line with people clapping, cheering and hugging him

Frederik wanted to reach to complete the world's toughest skiing (160 kilometers) before he was too old. It has been a desire for the last 4-5 years. Today he did it.

Thanks, Roskilde and Polyesco.
Your Frederik did well.
There are not that many athletes who after a race can say: "Yeah, well, I finish a little later than intended because I had to name a mountain under way." - Not even our national soccer team has come up with an excuse like that!
BB also report about the jubilant response from the Greenlanders, when Frederik finished as number 52 in the race. (I don't know off hand how many completed).

Yes he did fantastic
"The danish Crown Prince just reached the finish line, with an impressive total time of 16:09:17,
here of only 5:01:56 on todays distance."
three day race with two nights sleeping in freezing temperature.
Such a warm response from the crowd

BB just write that she was a local women.
And here is a great BT gallery: http://www.bt.dk/royale/fantastiske-...rdeste-skiloeb
There were 223 who started so finishing as number 52, the first time he takes part, is IMO pretty impressive!

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #14, 2016.
Written by Ulrik Ulriksen.
The 160 kilometer Arctic Circle Race took place in the low mountains around the town of Sisimut.
There were very few spectators along the route, so the participants were alone with their own fatigue, their inner voice screaming to quit, the wind and the nature.
Frederik had signed up with an old mate from the Frogman Corps, Søren Bredvig. (You can see him behind Frederik in the first pic of the article posted below).
The winner was a Greenlander, Martin Møller, who finished in nine hours 54 minutes. But Frederik has no reason be ashamed, finishing in place 52, in sixteen hours, nine minutes and seventeen seconds.
And Frederik was very much cheered on by the locals!
During the race he gave a brief interview: "It's about keeping yourself going as much as possible the whole time, but there is certainly also time to look out and enjoy this here fantastic terrain which the track runs across. That in itself is a huge experience in this race.
The motivation is really good and now we are soon going home and towards the finishing line. The mood is high and rising. It's a boost to have the place in the field, where I am. That I think is very good. Very suitable.
Greenland really means a lot to me. It's people and it's nature. And that you on top of that can combine it with a fantastic cross country skiing, makes it again a good wholesome here in in Greenland. (*)
I will certainly tell all my children about how fantastic skiing is. I think it's totally unique, but it's certainly not something they should begin contemplating until they are eighteen, nineteen, twenty years old. It's hard going".
(*) One of Frederik's "sprogblomster" = literally language-flowers, or flowery expressions.

Crown Princess Mary and Crown Prince Frederik tops the list in a new study that shows who the Danes would like the most to be in the company of when they eat for the evening.
And what can we use that to?
Well, no other than it (again again again) shows how incredibly popular and beloved Frederik and Mary are in the Danish population. There is not one of those studies where Mary and Frederik are not the two who top the list. The Danes love them. No doubt about that.

This is Denmark
There you go as a tourist and take a pictures and look at the Amalienborg Palace - and suddenly mommy Mary - aka Crown Princess Mary - is cycling out the castle to bring her children to kindergarten.
We see it time after time after time with Frederik and Mary ..
I Love it!
This was yesterday the 12th April
Quality time before two busy days with state visit.

As it is my very clear impression that Frederik and Mary on a daily basis deliver and pick up their children from school and kindergarten themselves.. Hands-on parents.. So let's have a look on how practically near Vincent's and Josephine's kindergarten is to the Crown Prince family's home.
5 minutes by bike.
