It looks like they are having a great time on their Australian roadtrip with their children and friends. I must admit I'm a bit jealous of their life right now :-)

I'm on my tablet so I can't post the link, but maybe someone can, as there are a lot of photos and information.

Ah, one of the omnipresent Ahlefeldt-Laurvigs.
Okay, what's so special about the spiritual gardens? We need to know.
And congratulations on your first posts, Alicia.

Seems like now that they are on the eastern coast we are getting more pictures , and now her friend Amber and some of her danish friends have joined.
During their "road trips " around Perth with her brother we didn't really get any pictures besides the wonderful selfie with Frederik
It looks like Jane's birthday will be celebrated in this area instead of Tasmania, I think her son was with them today at least . Maybe Jane decided to celebrate away from her home in Tasmania for her birthday bash.
It's kinda sweet that some danish friends have joined them, I'm sure Mary is excited to show them her home country. .

If I am to venture a guess, it's a mentality change.
It's my impression people on the east coast are more big-city like in mentality, while in the south-west people are not that easily excited and certainly don't show it as much! And also have more reservations about what they see as intruding on M&F. So people will notice M&F but leave them alone. - As a Jutlander I think I would feel very much at home on the south-west coast. It's a similar mentality I think.
Am I completely off the mark?

Can't remember who she is.
But the Ahlefeldt-Laurvig family are very close to the DRF. And they own several manors and estates.

(Count) Michael Ahlefeldt-Laurvig is Prince Vincent's godfather and Frederik is godfather to one of his older children.
He and his wife Caroline and kids have been in Australia for about 10 days now. Amber posted a couple of pics of them. She seems to know them well.

The south west of Western Australia is very sparsely populated, an area containing very small townships, so there are less people to see Mary or recognise her, especially at just the beginning of the tourist season. The east coast of Australia, by contrast, has a greater population, more people out and about. And Byron Bay is a popular resort town.

I don't think that sort of generalisation is safe. There is no one east coast mentality. If anything there is city v. country, but even that's simplistic. The east coast has lots of different sorts of settlement, and different sorts of mentality to match. There are big cities to smaller cities to coastal rural towns to tourist resorts of different sorts to fishing villages, and more.
I don't know where they were travelling in WA. Perth is a fairly large city, but it's a long, long away away from the east coast and, though I may be wrong, I think the difference is more likely to be that the people of Perth have no idea who Mary is, or at least not the same level of interest as people in the east. Mary is a Tassie girl and lived in Sydney for some time, so there's more interest in her on this side of the island.
Byron Bay is not a city, it used to have a whaling station and was a centre of the local dairy industry. It is a very beautiful part of the world though with rainforest hinterland associated with the extinct volcano, Mt Warning, and beautiful beaches and rivers and today it's a vibrant holiday destination all year round. There are always lots of European tourists, particularly Germans, and a large number of backpackers. There are also a lot of people in the area who have moved up from Sydney and Melbourne, mixed in with the long-term locals and the hippies who moved into the region in the 60s. There are lots of artists and artisans in Byron Bay, and it has some great restaurants. Byron Bay makes much of its natural wonders and marine park, and is very "green".
The Gold Coast is very different. It is also a tourist destination, focusing on the beaches, but seems to attracts a different sort of tourist. The Gold Coast is riddled with high-rise apartment blocks near the beach. That style of development at the Gold Coast would never be approved at Byron Bay. There is also the casino and shopping malls. It has a more city-like quality and a huge permanent population, including lots of retirees from southern states in that area.
Mullumbimby, where they were today, is different again. I was up there on Saturday. It's not far from Byron Bay but it has a different vibe. It is more a village servicing a rural community than a tourist destination. It is one of the places tourists staying at Byron visit on day trips. It's a charming town and does not have a city feel at all.
There will always be exceptions, but I think that most Australians who did recognise her - and I say "her", because I think it is Mary who is of interest here because we still see her as one of us, who just happens to have married a Danish Prince - would notice her and her family but leave them alone.

These are Danish friends who live in Denmark? If so, have they all been traveling, together or just met up here?

Both of these two women live in DK.
I guess they went to Australia to meet M&F and enjoy a winter/summer holiday.
Who knows? Perhaps more friends will surface?

Thanks Roslyn and Curryong
I guess I was off the mark then.

F&M, children and family are looking to have a wonderful time.
Mary's sisters must have joined as the boy we see is Mary's sister Jane's oldest boy.
I wish them all a sunny merry Christmas Eve and morning What's the tempetature?
(And that they will be left alone again. But okay, only 2-3 x paparazzi photos in over 3 weeks I think we couldn't ask for more. That delight me. That people sometimes notice them, but leave them alone.)

Are the CP family going to Tasmania or not? I think not :) The DRF posted that they are going to spent Christmas in Australia

Well, I will only say that we are all happy that Christian was safe rescued. I had to Google about sea rips, because in our Adriatic sea we don't know about them much apart of waves and I found a great video, which explains everything.

I love knowing Mary has got to spend time back home with her family and enjoy a Aussie Christmas Who knows if they will ever get the chance again. Life is going to change for them in the coming years. But I can see the children coming out when they are adults and doing some exploring of their own. Maybe meeting their partners here too !

 New photos!
"Daily Mail Australia" has new photos of CP Mary, with Princess Isabella, friend Amber and others, shopping just a few hours ago in Byron Bay.
(Pity Isabella is in so many photos - but with her face pixelated out.)
"Girls day out" - sorry, I can't post links from my tablet.

If they did stay up here for Christmas, they've struck miserable weather. It's been overcast all day and we had a lengthy period of widespread thunderstorm activity in the region, and some periods of very heavy rain. It's now just after 2pm on Christmas Day and it's still drizzling. It's also been quite cool all day, too, not getting over about 20 degrees C (68 degrees F). If it were sunny, the temperature would be in the mid 30s celsius. At least they'll be comfortable wherever they are staying. I feel sorry for the many holidaymakers at caravan parks and camping grounds.

This vacation for the crown prince family has been, I'm sure, one they will remember . It seems they have enjoyed a lot of Australia and with their family and friends
There has been very minimal photos which I'm sure they will appreciate.
Frederik and Mary usually have some commitments in December, and with the kids getting older and their schooling getting harder, they might not be able to repeat a vacation and Christmas like this again.
Pictures from today, December 26

it doesn't mention Vincent but I think he is the little boy sitting down

and it's very nice seeing them enjoy the sun a bit

And another article on today's beach day this time focusing on Frederik's tattoos.
Don't know how accurate it is, it is the Dailymail
They have him down as a 36 year old, I mean Frederik looks fantastic but has a few more years on him

New photos - again from Byron Bay.
"Daily Mail Australia" has today's photos of CP Mary now online.
Dressed in her sunnies, hat and playsuit, Mary is pictured on the sands of Byron Bay - with Princess Isabella in her swimmers.
It's currently 5.35pm, Sunday 27th, so again - photos that are just a few hours old.
(Sorry, on my tablet - can't post links. "Royally relaxed! Princess Mary ditches the bikini" etc.)
