How is security handled for an event like this? Do the bodyguards follow on bikes for the entire race, or do they 'trade off' occasionally? I think they would have to be pretty fit to be part of Frederik's security team.

They most likely take turns at intervals, because there were at least five Danish Pet officers "taking part" in the race, and probably a couple of Swedish as well.
No matter how fit they are, it would not be possible to both focus on completing the race and at the same time stay vigilant.

After her event at Odense Central Library tomorrow Mary will then visit the exhibition Danish Now where ten of some of her most iconic gowns are exhibited (and have been exhibited the last month)

Tomorrow, Sunday afternoon Frederik will attend the DGI World Team show ORBITA. In the Opera, Copenhagen:
H.K.H. Kronprinsen overværer DGI Verdensholdets show ORBITA kl. 14.00 - Kongehuset
I think there's a good chance he will bring his two oldest, Christian and Bella to that event. But we will see...
In the evening Frederik and Mary will for the seventh year in a row attend the Reumert awards show - it will be transmitted live on one of DR's channels.
The day after, Mary has an event about lifesaving on Tversted beach in Northern Jutland.
Wednesday Frederik has an event in Aalborg. And then it seems like F&M and children's summer vacation starts. It also fits with Christian and Isabella (as all Danish school children) have last day of school the next week.

Mary writes this greeting on Facebook at the Mary Foundation's Facebook page:
A greeting from the Crown Princess:
"After a visit to Ringsted shelter I received this poem from one of the residents at the center. I would like to share it - of course, in agreement with the woman who wrote it - because I so clearly felt her strength and hope, when I read it. I found it inspiring, and I hope it will inspire and give hope to others.
Regard the Crown Princess "

Christian and Isabella had last day of school Friday (like all other Danish school children) and now awaits 6 weeks of summer vacation before school starts again on the 10th August.
Vincent and Josephine still goes to kindergarten and can keep summer vacation a little more freely and longer. My youngest has been home the last days of last week. Sometimes it's nice to have Mom and Dad without the older siblings.
Frederik and Mary have an official event in the Opera House on July the 4th (next Saturday) but otherwise it seems to the Crown Prince family now will go on summer vacation.
I don't think they will travel abroad, but will stay at home and enjoy the Danish summer holiday in cottages as we have seen the past several years. When you travel quite a deal with work during a year, vacation is... not to travel. But who knows.
We stay at home during the summer because there is nothing better than the Danish summer. In the next day we should get terrific weather. Sun, no wind and up to 30 degrees.

yes, i also currently live in a cold climate, and like in any generally cold climate, i imagine summers in denmark must be very beautiful. it's lovely to see all the greenery left behind by the colder climate and to enjoy it during summer time under the sun - nothing looks better!
however, F+M previously traveled abroad for their summer holidays (i believe they were in croatia some years ago)...

I think that was the years before the Twins were born.
The last few summers pictures have come out of the family in Denmark's beaches (doesnt mean that they dont travel abroad)
Hopefully they enjoy the time off.
Today Frederik was with the Queen for the new government, tomorrow i think there is an audience too, and with their event on Saturday, maybe this week they'll just spend it in Denmark
over where i live its been hot. I'll gladly send some sun your guys ways

None of them. In Denmark children go to kindergarten until they are 6 years old and then they start in school (most children when they are around 6,5 years old). So Vincent and Josephine will first start in school in August 2017
Christian started in school when he was 6 years old.
Isabella when she was 6,5 years old.

She is nice, giving the castles employees a lift home in her cargo bike. However, seeing her and Frederik with the children in the cargo bike is a very common sight in the streets of Copenhagen.
The Danes also think we have the nicest future Queen.

Wow, the nanny gets a free ride and Mary gets a pleasant cardio workout. Kudos for the relationship Mary has with the nanny. However, where is your cycle helmet Mary?
Hands down, head injuries are the most common result of a cycling accident and you have four kids, a loving hubby, family and in-laws.
Please tell me it's not that helmets ruin the hairdo . . .
