The point was that Mary has an extensive staff to handle everything except nursing. If one does not have to do cooking, shopping, laundry, vacuuming, caring for other children and thousands of other tasks that most mother of infants are involved in then the nursing part is relatively easy. Many of us have breastfed our children but let's not compare ourselves any of the royal moms.

Mary, Frederik, Joachim and Marie regularly go out with friends, both together and separately...nothing wrong with that. And Frederik went to 1 night club only on 2 occasions within the past week...after the football match with his brother-in-law John and after the christening dinner with his family, in-laws and friends.
I think Joachim said it best in one of his past interviews...to allow the media to dictate how they live their lives would be the same as conceding to terrorists.

The discussion was not about going out but going to nightclubs. No matter in which city one is or how exclusive the night club is they all have one thing in common and that is drinking and dancing. That is why the action starts after usual dinner time, 10-11 at night and continues on into the morning. To compare going out with friends to being at a nightclub at 3 in the morning are truly apples to oranges.

Honestly, we are on the outside looking in and there are always problems when people who don't know the situation jump to conclusions. I'm pretty sure he talked to Mary and to be honest maybe Mary has already had her down time and it's Frederik's turn. I mean I think everyone is being a bit too harsh especially when we don't know the situation first-hand or have any idea what is really going on. I think we should just leave it alone and move and stop making judgments based off of what we see in the press and what they tell us.

Personally, I wouldn't be that keen on my husband going out to a club while I am at home with four kids (nannies or no nannies) but perhaps Mary is. That's all well and good.

My only issue with Fred going out is that he needs to be careful but obviously this picture was taken off the cuff by someone who betrayed a trust. If you aren't doing anything that needs to be explained, just handle yourself better so you aren't in the position of having to explain.

At the end of the day, only Fred and Mary knows what goes on in their marriage.

I agree with UserDane. Nursing an infant can be very time consuming and draining. Especially if you have other children who require your attention too.
CP Mary does have help but if she is still nursing the twins then she will be devoting quite a bit of time to this endeavor. Even pumping takes time as well.

As with still pictures, the video only captured a few moments of Frederik at the club, we don't see events of the entire time he was there. It wasn't the clearest video either so it's very difficult to make assumptions about the state of Frederik and Mary's marriage based on this. I think it was low behaviour to release the story right before the Christening.

It sounds like everyone is basing their opinions on an assumption that breastfeeding is going well for Mary and that just may not be the case. Even if her last two children nursed wonderfully, it doesn't mean it's going well this time. And what about the possibility of post-partum depression?

Don't tell anyone, but down at the local grocer's they say that Frederik and Jeppeline Handwerk are planning to elope together.

It does not look like Mary. The facial shape and features are not Mary's. The chin and smile are different. Are there more photos perhaps from the front.

A very sensible response, Katrianna.

I can't see anything at all untoward in going out with 'the boys' once in a while and even partying on in a nightclub, particularly in the company of his brother in law! I must say, too, that Frederik didn't look hung-over to me the next morning when he participated in the Christening.

I'd need a lot more 'evidence' than that fuzzy and indistinct phone video before I'd believe that Frederik isn't a good husband and a proud and caring father.

Actually the woman on the right is Marianne Singer, the reporter from BB I don't recognize any of the people in the background.

In any case, it hasn't taken very long for the Aussie media to run with the story. It's already made coverage on our morning news and is now online.
