Do we know that she's completely hooked on drugs?
She was convicted of possession correct? That doesn't neccesarily mean she's using.
Mary can be friends with who she likes, some of the people Prince William and Harry hang around with do drugs.
Both Prince Harry and Lord Freddie Windsor have done drugs in the past.

I think that the only reason for Rigmor Zobel and CP Mary are friends is that rigmor Zobels farther is a hunting friend with Prince Henrik (senior)
You are rigth that Mary can be friends with who ever she likes,BUT if she is a friend with Rigmor Zobel and she is doing drugs i think that that friendship will damage Marys role as a Queen...

We all know that doing drugs is NOT the best way to take care of oure body and i think that the both senior and junior royals is rollmodels for the rest of us..

The story has had the headlines in the news since the day that Rigmor Zobel got arrested with the drugs...ther has been a trial agienst Rigmor Zobel and it did not went out for her because she has to pay hear fine..She said that she migth file for court aginst the cops who arrested and interrogatede her because she felt that they was to hard to her regardin answers.. I know som coops and they says that it was a very mild kind of interrogasion of her..
But to the fact yes it has made a HUGE scandal her in Denmark..and we danes are unfortunately to god to remember what the stars/royal has made of mistakes even if it happend 10-20 years ago..

I never meant the drugs case, i ment this meeting between Mary and Rigmor?
How many newspapers have picked it up? Has it made the news today?
In 10-20 years i don't think many people will remember this specific meeting.

The facts are these.
Mary was invited to a dinner at a restaurant with count Johan and countess Rebecca Wedell-Wedellsborg.
A large group of people were invited according to Mary's friend Ellen Hillengsø who was also there.
Ms Zobel also happened to be one of the people at the party.
That does not make them close friends.

Zobel has mixed in the same social circles as Joachim and Alexandra for many years.
She is NOT part of Mary and Frederik's inner circle.
Her father is a friend of Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik.
It's probable that the Crown Princess and Zobel did not know the other would be attending.

Thank you for clearing up things, it was indeed misleading and makes one wonder why Mary would meet with someone who made headline with cocaine in public.

The MSN starlounge article doesn't say what event it was, a gathering perhaps.
It says there was some form of party afterwards with snoop dogg.

I totally agree Freye.
And another reason this is blown completely out of proportion is that months ago, when Rigmor Zobel appeared in court for the first time there was reporting restrictions meaning that she could not be identified by name in the media before the trial. Unfortunately for her, this restriction only came some hours after she had appeared in court and for a few hours the story was splashed out on all the tabloid internet sites with her picture and name. Afterwards, the story was widely referenced with a blurred picture of Rigmor and thinly concealed references to her identity. The press has had a field day and named her the jet set cocaine queen and similar names ever since.

Seeing Mary at the same table as Rigmor was just what the tabloids needed to spin another end and involve the royals in that endless and by now rather boring story

Well, lets hope she is a user, because in the eyes of the law, if you have drugs on you, you are either using, or selling. The defefence of "I was just holding them for a friend" doesnt really do that much good.

But no. Outside the tabloids, this is not a really big story, though everyone agrees that it doesnt look too good. But asuming nothing else happens, the tabloids will be upset with something else next week and in a few months it will be forgotten.

I don't really think that Mary attending the dinner with Rigmor is the publics business. Who she chooses to hang out with in private is her choice and if this Rigmor person is one of them so be it. It's not like Mary uses drugs, I think she knows better as a royal wife. The only reason why this dinner is getting any attention at all is because Mary attended had she not we wouldn't even be talking about this. Mary went to dinner and there was someone who was convicted for drugs. Not a big deal and it shouldn't be at all.

It's like when Harry was caught with marijuana, big deal because of who HE IS . His Dad and brother are both future kings and his grandmothers the queen. If Harry isn't who he is no one would care.

I don't think she hides out at night in some downtown street corner. Unfortunately cocaine is used in all levels of society. Although one hopes it is not widespread it probably was not a surprise to her circle of friends that cocaine was available.

This is absurd. Mary is a grown woman, I bet she knows who should or should not be her friend.

I guess if the Royal house or the princess her self considered it was ill for her public image to be seen with this woman, perhaps she would have not attended that dinner or avoided paparazzis
