Mary does look devastated.
That picture is really heartbreaking and shows just how close she was to Tina.

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #45, 2012.
Et stort tab for Mary og børnene - A big loss for Mary and the children.
Written by Trine Larsen.
Mary hasn't said anything official about the death of her perhaps closest paid associate. (A LiW is unpaid and apart from that Tanja Doky and Caroline Heering are personal friends).
However other people have, among them Søren Hedegaard, Mary's hairdresser.
Tina Jørgensen was close to Christian and Isabella in particular, who have known her all their lives. To that Søren Hedegaard comments: "Yeah, the little mice...(*) it's so sad for them.
It has never been a secret that they were very close to Tina. They have grown up with her and thought, like everybody else, that she was wonderful. Of course they have their nannies, but Tina was something quite special. She was that lovely lushious, gorgeous woman who you could simply hug. One who could tell funny stories and who they could almost crawl upon. She was very loved and she will be deeply missed. By all of us.
I almost have no words for how lovely a woman Tina was. It's a huge grief and utterly incomprehensible that she is no more. She was so thoughtful against everything and everybody, so helpful selfsacrificing and she never distinguished between anyone".
Søren Hedegaard's spouse, the actor Preben Christensen for whom Tina Jørgensen previously worked, says: "Tina was like a mother to us all. A octopus with very long arms who was there for everyone. She ran from here to the end of the world, sew in a botton here, removed a stain there, gave others an extra hand while she packed and unpacked and had everything under control.
Her work was her life, but it was her unique personality that made her a highly treasured Lady's Maid for the Crown Princess". (**)
(*) It's not a common expression for small children, so I wonder if this is how Tina Sørensen referred to Christian and Isabella?
(**) Not just Mary, also Mette-Marit and Victoria enjoyed her services from time to time, when they were visiting DK.

Its nice to see that she took Christian along especially as he has known her all his life.

Was she elderly and ill or did the death come as a complete shock?
The picture of Mary is so sad, she will obviously miss her dearly

Tina Jørgensen was only 53 and was not known to be ill. But the police will investigate, which is normal when a person is found dead at home.

Very sad and highly emotional.
I wonder though why Frederik was not there?
But it was nice that she took Christian. At this age he will understand better.
may Tina RIP

Very sad occasion
Mary looks like she's very upset about Tina's death in the picture. Were they good friends?

Tina has known Mary since she became CP if I am correct. I read she has been very close to the children as well.

Quite sad that the photographers didn't stay away from the funeral. It must have been hard for the CPss and also for the family of the deceased, as they are not used to the press.

53 yrs of age is very young. So sad for all the family and everyone she worked with. I don't remember her. I remember Countess Victoria as Hofdame but not Tina. Thanks Muhler for the translation, appreciated as always. Seeing Marys grief makes it very poignant to observe. I'm sure all who work for the DRF become quite close friends as they are in unique positions.

Tina wasn't a Hofdame. Tina was Mary's 'Lady's Maid'.

Gosh the pictures are heart wrenching. If Tina had been with Mary at the start she probably helped her transition from regular girl to princess. She had a hand in helping Mary become the woman she is today and it seems the crown princess will really miss her.

Before Mary traveled to Mozambique, she and Frederik were photographed going for a stroll with the twins along the harbour near Amalienborg
