...And now I'm cracking up at the image you described  . Heavens, it doesn't help that it's almost three in the morning where I am, because everything is ten times funnier when one's been up longer than necessary. Though I'm grateful for a laugh. Can't have too many of those .

 And they're not just red pants, they're red velvet pants . I tell you, Frederik does love to make fashion statements once in a while (though the velvet has got to go).

I believe the material is needle cord not normal velvet. I never understood the fuss about the red pants
