I agree. After that sweet speech from Frederik to his mother, who wouldn't run over to give him a quick kiss

Yes, he did. - And it was of course. Mary would never have been put up for approval if the government and Parliament couldn't/wouldn't approve her.

Not too sure has this been posted before but it's rare to see Mary hug and kiss Frederik like this!! Seems to be taken during the dinner to celebrate Queen Margrethe's 70th birthday in 2010.
