agreed! i liked how margrethe and marie were together in this act. it just shows a lot of support for the organization, in my opinion, than if just one royal attends.
seeing this is a patronage of marie, what is margrethe's reason for attending specifically? was she involved with the university before? did she just want to support marie in the engagement? maybe she was visiting joachim and marie and decided she could attend too?

No, Polyesco. QMII attended Aarhus University. SDU is only 50 years old and consisted of a pile of bricks when QMII went to university. Presumably QMII was invited. The articles are not clear about that.
But there were a few details in regards to protocol.
QMII and our Marie arrived in separate cars, with QMII in the last car.
Unpractical perhaps, but according to protocol.
There were also a few problems with the local press and other media people because they would very much like to cover the event both inside and outside, but often they don't have more than one photographer available. But protocol dictates that QMII is the first person to leave an event.
So a little arrangement was made with Lene Balleby the DRF PR-person, so they could slip out before QMII left in order to photograph her.

sorry my grammar skills went out the window in my original response.
I meant; The Queen attended today's event because it was the University's 50th anniversary. A special year
thanks for the extra details on protocal

F&M's foursome are such smiling children. And while Josephine is such a little bubbly girl, Isabella has now grown older and become a big girl, pretty girl. Vincent is his usual adorable mild boy, and Christian has also grown so big. A beautiful young man.
Great to se them attend the Queen's premiere tonight.

When the Crown Prince family arrive and make ready to stand for a family photo is little Josephine so excited to see Grandma's Christmas ballet that she has ran inside already... Dad, mom and siblings call on her... and she sprints back and wupsi.. Then she is back on place in front of the press... with dance moves and a giant smile She really is Bella's kidsister, eh We are always guaranteed smile and fun with F&M's foursome presented.

Great to also see Queen Anne-Marie there. A big event for Queen Margrethe I'm sure!
And she looks so happy, Margrethe

I thinks its a testament to how good the relationship is between Prince Joachim and Princess Marie that Countess Alexandra brought Prince Henrik along with Prince Felix. Its so lovely to see adults in a divorce situation acting like mature adults. This will make for strong adulthood for all 4 of Joachim's kids. JMO

Yes, Josephine sure is Bella's kidsister! A wonderful little ham, she is.
And what happened to Felix?!? He sure has grown! And just as I'm sure bette Henrik looks very much up to Felix, I'm sure Felix revel in being the older brother.

Those are wonderful photos! The CP children are so charming and yes, I feel like Josephine takes after her sister Isabella without a doubt too!
It's also great to see Joachim and Alexandra co-parenting. It's nice that Henrik (and I presume Athena as well) see Alexandra too. I wonder how close they are with each other; but I guess that's more private and we won't know much aside from what we see in photos.

In the video Premiere of "The Nutcracker", I liked Queen Margrethe on stage with the performers. Margrethe was overjoyed and it is a pleasure to see a joyous sovereign for the holidays.

Indeed, cuteness personified But if you look carefully at little Bella's smile, just after the posing session, you can see her put her mouth back in a normal (and relieved!) grin...an even better moment! thanks for posting, the whole outing is a wonderful example of a supportive family and a happy Queen. Bravo, Your Majesty

I love that Alexandra attended with Felix and Henri, it really shows a real maturity between adults that all feel comfortable with this. At the end of the day the children are all siblings so its nice the adults put them first.
