Thank, Polyesco.
It's good to see Mary on the job with Bendikte as well. (It has happened before though, weren't they on the job together in connection with a horse-event in Aachen, years ago?)
Tivoli is the second-oldest dedicated amusement park in the world. The oldest is Bakken, located in the northern part of Copenhagen.
Bakken however was more an amusement park for "the common folk" it was certainly not a place decent middle class, even many working class women, would show themselves.
And it was not a place you brought your teenage daughters or children, unless you stuffed their ears and shielded their eyes.
Nor was it a place you would feel at home if you were a teetotaler!
So in came Tivoli as an amusement park more aimed at the middle class and nice decent people, where you didn't mind being seen, on the contrary, and where you could safely go on an outing with your vicar.
For many years Tivoli was the "posh park" while Bakken was where the fun, in every possible definition of the word(!) was to be found.
Today Tivoli is still the more "posh" amusement park, in the sense that it is aimed very much a tourists (and so are the prices!) and it is more grandiose even today than Bakken.
And you still, to some extent, dress up, to go to Tivoli. As is evident with Mary and Benedikte.
But PH very much enjoyed going to Bakken as you know, wearing his schlager-singer outfits.

Another bling-bling event is coming up.
On the 24th October the DRF will host a gala for members of the government, Parliament and the European Parliament.
The event will include dinner, at Christiansborg, dance and les lanciers (a kind of menuet).
Such an event is as far as it is possible held during every four year government term. I.e. once during the four year period there can be between a general election here in DK.
Sometimes however there is less than four years between the general elections, or a government resigns to be replaced by a new. Hence why there is not such gala during every term.
By then Frederik should be back on his feet.

I hope you are ready for some bling-bling and big robes Wednesday?
https://www.billedbladet.dk/kongelig...fest-i-operaen
By then will attend a gala in the Opera on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of autonomy for Iceland. (Iceland got it's independence during WWII.)
So we will see dresses, hairstyles and jewellery from QMII, Mary, our Marie and Benedikte. - Oh yeah, they will be accompanied by two accessories in the shape of Frederik and Joachim.
There is probably going to be some live coverage from the arrivals at least. So links will be posted later. - Keep an eye on DR1 - live TV. And keep an eye on BB's play or YouTube channel.

I'll fix my post.

I very much look forward to that on Wednesday. Do we think Her Majesty will ever begin a tradition of being escorted by the Captain of the Dannebrog to these gala type of events.
I think you have said in the past he has accompanied either the Queen or Princess Benedikte to gala events.
(Please excuse my very poor english.)

Have I said that? Or are you addressing your question to someone else?
Well, the captain of Dannebrog has certainly accompanied members of the DRF in the past - when the event was somehow connected to Dannebrog that is.
And that's because as QMII's personal captain he also doubles as an adjutant, outranking all other adjutants.
The Monarch is never supposed to be alone, so QMII will always be accompanied by a LiW and/or an adjutant, practically no matter what.
But to return to your question: No. - Not unless QMII is somehow working out from Dannebrog.

Well I couldn't quite remember who posted about the Captain as escort. But I assumed you would most likely know Muhler.
Thanks for the answer.

When did Frederik get back to Denmark? He could not have had much turn-around time to get ready for a formal event - not to mention jet lag.

Indeed, he had IOC meetings on the 9th in Argentina and probably left right after. That is a long plane ride but he looks fantastic

On the occasion of the P4G summit in Copenhagen tomorrow, QMII will host a gala dinner at Christiansborg where M&F will also be present.
It does not look like J&M will attend though.
BB will send live from the guests arriving from 19.40.
I will not be able to provide a running commentary, nor provide a link.
But I'm confident one of our newsdiggers will provide links.
It does not seem like DR1 will cover the event live, but check anyway.
