We see it already with Mary who is on Facebook with her Mary Foundation.
I see the hiring is from May 2016 so we probably shouldn't expect anything before then... It will be interesting.

i agree, interesting times. lots of royalty have taken up social media accounts, like rania, mette marit, mabel, madeleine, the british royal house, the spanish royal house... so it would seem like the DRF needs to catch up and have some more presence online. maybe frederik / mary will have their own facebook / twitter account?
what exactly is the job description about? maybe that can give us ideas on what they plan to do!

It could not be QM or Frederik, it could be that the communication team came up with the idea knowing that that is a field they need help in. They then bring the idea up with the QM or Frederik.
I think t's a great step and I think it is a needed position in these days with all the social media and so on.

I think it is such a shame we don't get more or better photos from this event of the Royals arriving. I would like to see a still photo of Her Majesty arriving as well as just the Crown Prince Couple.

Oh many thanks Polyesco for finding a much better photo. Of course I just realised if the Queen were hosting then we wouldn't see her arriving I guess.

Well, it's in any case better than all the previous years where there hasn't been any press access at all. So glad happy we got a video of F&M arriving this year. But I fully agree with you, Tarlita.
It's a pity that the Danish photo agencies sometimes (in periods) are so afraid to put their pictures online with watermarks (like all other foreign photo agencies does) because they hide them to their paper newspaper/magazines.

Gallery from Kongehuset.dk with pictures from Frederik and Mary attending the Queen's dinner for the naval officers last Friday (with pictures from inside the palace taken by the DRF's own photographer):

Yes I love those pics too. The Garden room has so much history immortalised by the painting by Laurtis Tuxen of King Christian IXs extended family.

 thank you Roskilde
How I wish they would give out a picture or two like the other families, they may be "boring" but I like them. At least once a year

 Not only pictures, Polyesco.
Both DR1 and TV2 will send live from the guests arriving, naturally culmination with DRF arriving.
- To this ball for people who are performing artists i.e. musicians, actors, directors and so on.
Many of them should be familiar faces to the DRF and also on this board.
TV2 will send live from 18.30 but you may not be able to watch it outside DK.
However DR1 will send live from 19.00 - in a little more than nine hours from this is posted - and that you should be able to see.
And I'm sure someone will post a live link shortly before it starts.
And DR1 usually put up a public vidoe a little later anyway.
Here is a BB gallery from a similar ball for performing artists in 1998: SE BILLEDERNE: Da regentparret inviterede til hofbal i 1998 | BILLED-BLADET
