Thanks Alisa! I thought I could recognize Joachim, but I wasn't sure.

More & more from scanpix via tv2.dk . . .
it's so good to see Alexandra & Joachim together again at official event.
Mary & Alexandra looks beautiful, but i think it was really Margarethe, Benedikte, and Anne-Marie the stars of this event.

Re;
Thanks Larzen!
Lovely to see Margrethe, Benedikte and Anne-Marie together. And I love Anne-Marie's bouncy hair! :)

So nice to see a pic of both Alex and Joachim together. Why don´t they just get together again for our sake?

It's really wonderful to see such a big family gathering in the Danish Royal Family for this special memorial concert, too bad that the King and Queen of Sweden has a State Visit scheduled at the moment, otherwise it would've been great to see the Swedish side of Queen Ingrid's family (she was after all born as Princess of Sweden) take part too - and then we would've seen a larger gathering.
Very special and nice to see the three sisters together - Margrethe, Anne-Marie and Benedikte. And of course great to see Crown Princess Mary again after her time at the hospital and at home!
Lovely event!

I'm curious about the family background of Count Jefferson von Pfeil. He has an English first name which I have only seen in American Southern families. I wonder if he has American ancestors from the Old South.

The DRF are really composed of not only good-mannered and intellectual royals but also elegant ones. They really try to balance their lives in a nice way to avoid negative circumstances as much as possible.

I agree that Princess Alexandra looks tense in these outings. I can think of a few likely reasons: 1) Her status is lower than that of her in-laws now, and that is kind of awkward. 2) She is sort of an extra person. Where does she fit in in the family? 3) It must be hard to be around her former husband, they pose together, but as what? Friends, parents, out of duty, for the sake of appearances? She really breezed past the receiving line in the video. Why?
I agree that she should just get back together with Joachim for our sake, but it would be so much easier for them too!
Also, her hair doesn't look very nice in these pictures.

Her status isn't that much lower, she is "HH" and her former in-laws are "HRH", she is a countess in her own right, so it isn't like she doesn't have a title at all.
She is an extra person, but not in the way. She has an active and included role in the RF, she isn't like a third wheel.
And, I think that it would be difficult for her to keep company with her ex-husband, but they have to be in public together, and in private because of their children.
They aren't immature people, and both of them have a strong sense of duty, they would put their country ahead of their divorce.
As for the receiving line, I think she skipped that because she isn't married to Prince Joachim anymore, the concert was for Queen Ingrid, so, while it was a public occassion, it was also for family. Alexandra isn't married into the family anymore, so she probably attended as a member of the house. You may say that Mary isn't the Queen's blood either (and maybe it would be logical to leave her out too), she is currently married to Frederik, while you can't say the same for Joachim and Alexandra.
The most logical reason for the lack of a reception is that her former in-laws are either Queen, Prince Consort, Prince or Princess with a HRH title, while she is only HH compared to them. Maybe at these things the respect doesn't apply so much to her now.

I agree with you that she still Her Highness just like other family member who are not part of monarch's "nuclear family" (monarch's spouse, children and their spouse). Meaning, in some way Alexandra still part of the family (that is my opinion).
For lack of reception I think its just a matter of protocol thing.
Alex's and Joachim' attire matches well each others... Alex' purple top and Joachim' tie:) http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums...9&d=1131459445

Rural outing with grandpa for Danish Princes
From Hello magazine.com
Danish princes six-year-old Nikolai and his brother Felix, three, have been enjoying some family fun with their grandfather Prince Henrik. Queen Margrethe's husband made sure his younger son's two boys were wrapped up warm against the winter weather on a recent trip to the country outside Copenhagen.
(I hope I'm posting this article in the right place. If not, Moderators, please help :) Thanks you in advance)

I love this picture, I've never seen pictures of Felix and Nicolai since the ones when they were babies. They really look like handsome boys, taking after their father, uncle, & grandfather!
