The same school Nikolai is now attending.

ADDED:

Mary gave her speech for the new students who started at CBS today.
That includes Nikolai. But the article doesn't mention that he was present.

The speech is in English and there were several hundred present, so perhaps Nikolai hid in the crowd.

"On your very first day at CBS you are learning about and solving real-life challenges faced by real-life organizations. This is testament to the ever-increasing need for people like you to be part of the transformation we need to see, toward a more sustainable future for people, planet and prosperity.”"

Thanks, Polyesco.

So she met Lech Walesa, that's one interesting person to meet!
One of the persons who was instrumental in the fall of the Iron Curtain.

The Palace shared some more photos of the opening of the Golden Days Festival 2019:

I wondered if there was some sort of Japanese/Asian theme but I couldn't find any. - I mean, since Mary is wearing something resembling a kimono, even down to the bare (and sexy in Japanese tradition) neck.

Here's a video of Mary at the INDEX Awards on Friday:

Crown Princess Mary visits Morocco on October 3-4, 2019

HRH The Crown Princess travels on 3-4. October 2019 to Morocco to attend the Youth Innovation Summit.

On 30 September - 4 October 2019, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Danish-Arab Partnership Program (DAPP), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Moroccan Government will hold an innovation and dialogue seminar, Youth Innovation Summit (YIS), in Rabat, Morocco.

Over the five days, 100 selected young talents from Morocco will take part in an innovation program, which will conclude on October 4 with an open festival involving citizens, students, Danish and Moroccan companies, NGOs and Moroccan public authorities.

The Crown Princess will open the closing dialogue festival, where the young talents will present their innovation projects to the public, and will participate in various events on the festival grounds, including an exercise run and a panel discussion with young contractors. In addition, the Crown Princess will meet the young Moroccan talents to discuss the experiences they have gained in their participation in the Youth Innovation Summit.

During the visit, the Crown Princess will also have the opportunity to meet with local partners, Danish companies and civil society organizations.

The purpose of YIS is to place young people at the heart of the development of new ideas and solutions to ensure increased youth employment, sustainable development and the promotion of social participation and the establishment of new cross-generation political dialogue platforms in Morocco.

Interesting.

Politically I didn't see such a visit coming.

Thanks, Eya.

Mogens Jensen is a likable man, whom Mary has worked with before when he was Minister for Development and with whom she had a good relationship.
Judging from their relaxed posture and genuine smiles, it looks like that relationship is still good.

It's gonna be rainy and windy tomorrow, so we'll likely see her in raincoat and fairly warm clothing.
A pity for the many local events celebrating this bridge - it's a big thing locally!

But the god in charge of the weather must be interested in politics, because on Tuesday, where the DRF will attend the opening of the Parliament it will be dry - otherwise it's rain as far as the weathermen can see.

:previous: We'll see how it goes. It has been like you said a big community event. According to the news note "For the inauguration, about 10,000 people will either walk or run the 'One Mile', five kilometers or ten kilometers across the new bridge."
Enjoy the rain:flowers:

Thanks, Eya.

Yes, Mary had to hold on to her hat in the windy weather today!

This new bridge is meant to not replace but take over from the old bridge, The Crown Prince Frederik Bridge.
It now means it's much faster to get to and from Copenhagen. It is with Copenhagen as it is with other cities worldwide - it's difficult for people with a normal income to buy a house in or near the city, so people commute. Hence why this bridge is such a big thing locally.
But, there is always a hitch. This bridge was build for money paid for by the municipality for government support and that means it's the only municipal toll-bridge in DK. But the alternative was no bridge at all. And that has caused some raised voices in protest. After all we do pay taxes to the state and regions to cover for high ways, bridges, tunnels and so on.
None of this involves the DRF however and a visit by Mary is always popular, especially in connection with a festive event - and the locals had turned out in force to see the giraffe (aka Mary).

ADDED: As is evident from this BT video, I'm afraid Mary ruined her shoes a bit when she left her car:

The Crown Princess Mary attends today the 100th anniversary of The Danish Suprime Court's seat at Christiansborg Palace.

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #40, 2019.
Written by Ulrik Ulriksen.

It rained a lot the day Mary opened the new bridge named after her, Kronprinsesse Marys Bro.
And it had been raining even more in the days prior to the opening, so outside the red carpet it was muddy! - And high heels and mud and pools of water...
Well, see for yourselves in the article below.
It tends to be windy around fjords and this day was no exception! Wind and royal hats don't necessarily go well together...
But apart from all that the locals, who have been looking very much forward to this bridge, cheered like Mary was a rock-star. And there were loads of people around! Not least because no less than 10.000 had signed up to run over the bridge, once the ribbon had been cut. That being done in fine style, Mary fired a starter-gun and off the runners went.
Afterwards Mary mingled with the locals with whom she had many a chat. - All in all a pretty good day for Mary.

- As you can see in the scans here of BB #40, 2019.

Crown Princess Mary about the UN International Day of the Girl Child

"Today is a very special day. For all over the world, we are calling attention to girls' rights, because it is the United Nations International Girl's Day.
That is why I would like to introduce you to 14-year-old Farzana. She just visited me at home in Amalienborg, where we got a good talk about what it is like to be Farzana and grow up in Dhaka. Since she was 11 years old, she has been volunteering to combat child marriage and girls' right to attend school in the slum area of Citi Polli. Her commitment must be acknowledged and I have the deepest respect for her willpower and profit in a reality that can be both harsh and unfair. Farzana gives hope to many."

Thanks, Iceflower. :flowers:

The girl is Farzana from a slum neighborhood in Dhaka in Bangladesh. There she is working for women's/girls rights. Not least the right to get an education. (- Daughters tend to be second priority, when families who have few means must select who among their children should have an education or even go to school!)
Mary presented the girl to the press and told a little about her. They had started the day at home at Amalienborg before going to a school in downtown Copenhagen, where Mary and Farzana each gave a speech to the Danish pupils.

- I wonder who the girl in blue is. She is very young. I'd say fourteen or so. A relative of Farzana? Or a friend? But why not mention her if that be the case?

The good Farzana may have found the Danish autumn weather a little chilly. Heavy showers all day but mild. A balmy 14 degrees C = 52.7 F.
Mild if you are a Dane that is, but if you come straight from Bangladesh... :D ⛄

Today, Mary attends a conference on SRHR (Sexual and reproductive health and rights) in humanitarian crisis

"Meeting at christiansborg with H. H. Crown Princess Mary. Next month we will be meeting in Nairobi for a conference on women's right to own body. I am simply so proud that Denmark's crown princess has thrown herself into the fight for women and girl s' rights - a smarter "Ambassador" does not exist."
