Crown Princess was today visited by Minister for Development Aid Flemming Møller Mortensen, who presented the priorities for the development area for the coming years.

It's great to see the meetings in person opening up again. (slowly and limited of course)

Thanks, all of you.
Yes, the climate and sustainability has been put on hold, and even rolled back in the past year, due to Corona. So the festival and Mary's speech is indeed relevant.
The climate was the biggest topic right before the Corona outbreak, and we were on the brink of actually beginning to accomplish something. The politicians and those in power, were under severe pressure to really do something. And a genuine wide public support had been accomplished.
Perhaps it will start up again?

It is, as you may observe, sweltering hot today! 25+ degrees C.
The... ehh... personage with the red jacket and dotted dark dress, who manages to push herself into the photos of Mary, is the Minister for Social Affairs.
I notice she also managed to seat herself right next to Mary, despite the fact that the seat could have been taken by an elderly who would have been delighted sitting next to Mary.
But to Mary's other side sat 77 year old Ulla Møller Nielsen, who told Mary how much it had affected her not being able to be visited by her son during the height of the pandemic. Something that visibly moved Mary.
The Minister, Astrid Krag, was part of a trio of rising politicians named after Daisy Duck's nieces, in Danish named Kylle, Pylle and Rylle. - Most appropriate, methinks.
Donald Duck's nephews BTW are named Rip, Rap and Rup in Danish.

Loving Mary's comment about how the chocolate needs to be eaten fast It's truly unbearable warm outside today.

Given that it was very clearly listed in the DRF's calendar as a joint visit between Mary and the Minister, I'm not sure I think the backhanded comments directed at the latter are either particularly appropriate or relevant.

Well, I do.
There are many joint minister/royal events and most ministers understand to remain in the background.
Some don't.
Usually and obviously in the hope of the positive vibes of a popular royal rubbing off on the minister in question.
- I take a perverted delight in pointing that out, also towards ministers of the opposition, when they are in power.
